First half - dull affair, nothing really in it.

Second half - Friedel mostly a spectator, best chances went to us and had some good periods of pressure

The goal was a sickener, think the nature of it being in the 93rd minute was worse than anything though. I heard people coming out of the Holte saying 'absolute daylight robbery' as if we'd dominated the game from start to finish, if there had deserved to be a winner in what wasn't a great game, it was us. That's what happens though if the game stays nil nil, only takes one moment when the opposition have players like Gerrard and Torres.

What pubs can Villa fans get into near the ground now without tickets? They were being funny about letting people into the Cap and Gown last home game I went to (Bolton I think it was)

Was wondering do you know how many season ticket holders we have at Villa Park this season?

I am hoping to get a ticket for Wembley (if we get there, fingers crossed!), and was wondering how many tickets of the 31,500 allocation will be left once season ticket holders have snapped there's up!

Just can't see them coming anywhere near selling out? Hence a poor atmosphere. Really do prefer the more old-fashioned stadiums, always generate better atmospheres.

Get in there! I'd love some silverware this season and this is the perfect opportunity. Shame the performance couldn't have been a bit better for those couple of thousand that travelled up, but v pleased to be in the hat for the quarters!

I see quite a few of you stating that you do regularly or at least go to some away games every season. I realise it was £38 a ticket last night at Anfield but did anybody else find it slightly disappointing that we failed to sell out all of our 2,000 allocation?

Used to be a season ticket holder in the Holte. But now I'm at Uni in Leeds I go to all the away games in the North; Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd/City, Blackburn etc. Ended up at about 12/13 away games last season. And home games when back over Xmas e.g the Thriller with Arsenal!

I think this thread's ridiculous. Even someone like me who's very sceptical over O'Neill's tactics, transfer policy of only buying either English players or players playing in England would be a million miles from wanting him out. Yes we've shown very poor form through the back end of last season and the first game of this, but shouldn't a man be given a full season to 'do his worst', which over the last two years have been sixth. I don't see how a thread like this is going to help the fans' harmony and supporting of the club and players on matchdays. I'd be ashamed to be one of the 26% voting for him out, and I doubt any of these people could name a realistic suitable replacement.
