My first match was 1996 and that was the first time i have left before the 90 was up. I left early due to a combination of fans getting on the players backs and the performance - we were abject but booing and abusing individual players really isnt going to help.
Although I don't condone it, I can fully understand people booing, and think it is their right considering they pay their money, but when a gentleman behind me unleashed a tirade against Heskey for not going for the ball when he was in fact in an offside position made me think that perhaps most of the people who boo are morons and the team would perform better without their 'support'.
