If he has stormed off because he isn't on the bench then yes he is acting like an arsehole. I agree that Lambert is playing it wrong but maybe there is a deeper issue? Either way he should still be there supporting his team mates.

EDIT: Matt Kendrick has tweeted that Bent will be watching the game from the stands so I retract the acting like an arsehole statement

Bent has history of acting like an arsehole when things don't go his way so this isn't surprising if true. However he should be on the bench if fit IMO

Whilst its looking bad at the moment I firmly believe Randy and Lambert will recognise this and there will be investment in january. Going to be a long season either way though.
