I know this is only a minor point but why do people say he seems like a nice guy? This kind of thing really annoys meHow is it a puzzle for McLeish that N'Zogbia is not playing to his best.. seemed to be Ok at wigan... But as soon as he starts playing for AM he is rubbish.. Managers are suppose to get the best out of players..Am tactics arn't helping N'Zogbia's form, by pumping it past he wide men and straight onto bent...Yes N'Zogbia should be doing better, but its up to the manager to convince the player of that.. and i think some players have lost Confidence in AM ability to manage this club..
It's only a matter of time until the media begin to question McLeish's managerial ability. I've noticed a lot of pundits and commentators have made a few damning comments on his defensive style and how Villa should not be playing football like they are. I personally reckon it's just a matter of time until the nationwide media join us in our hatred. Tick-tock, Tick-tock.
It really is a shame because he seems like a nice guy Eck. But sadly this is football and he is still on millions of pounds and our squad should be in the top half of the table at least and should be playing good football (sadly we are doing neither of the two).
The other sad thing is even if we win a few of our next few games I have no confidence in him getting our side to play "Good Attractive Football" which we long to see at Villa Park but has been missing for a great many years. Maybe its the defensive set up of teams now which makes such football hard to produce but even if this is the case Eck teams have a reputation for playing "Ugly Stuff"
More to the point, WTF has it got to do with the price of bread?

West Ham seem to be doing ok and I have a couple of mates who have said this season has been the best for them for some time in terms of enjoyment
Every time I've heard a West Ham fan on the radio this season they've complained about the dire football under Allardyce.
Yeah, my West Ham supporting mate was whinging about Allardyce the other day. Apparently they hardly ever score goals from open play any more.
If I were them I'd just be happy they were on target for promotion again.
They're top of the league what more could they want?!
Some free flowing Dutch football, like you see at the Villa?

Love the thread title.
-
Warnock is shite
-
Should see some decent football tonight
-
Did someone say transition?
-
Some of the comments from Mcleish over the last few days are strange, seriously is he all there?
-
A Dutch system?

I don't think the appointment of Mcleish was just a bad decision by Randy. I think a lot went on to appointment a new manager and a few turned us down, so Mcleish was some what desperation maybe. Even if he sacks Mcleish which is a big if who will come in and what will be available to strength the squad. We have to much dead wood on long term contracts bleeding the club dry. Dark days indeed.

It's such a depressing time. For long periods last season I was worried about our premiership status and now this season even more so! I kind of brought into the long term vision that GH may possibly of achieved, McCleish on the other hand, hopeless No matter what the majority think, I am sure that McLeish will stay still the bitter end, despite what that end may bring. Lerner looked so bored and dejected when the camera's were on him yesterday but I think he will stubbornly stick with what he has chosen. To sack McCleish now will cost him more money, which he does not have, and more significantly, in my opinion, would be public admittance that he got it horribly wrong, again! If nothing else Randy strikes me as a proud man and I fear that his proud stubbornness will convince him to stick it out.
I wish we could some way instigate change but i unfortunately I dont think we can. That feeling of helplessness kind of sums up my benign feeling towards the club I love!
True, he didn't listen with the last protests. Any protests now might make him dig his heels in and drag it out. Lerner needs to first accept to himself he was wrong before going public and sacking the manager. Given the circumstances this looks like it's going to be a difficult decision for him to take.
I think from a business prospective he is all to aware what relegation would bring, hence the Bent signing. He's many things but not stupid and alarm bells will be ringing after watching the game yesterday. So bearing this in mind we can only hope he acts sooner rather than later.

Quote from John Barnes yesterday,
You can play that kind of football at Birmingham, but not at a club like Aston Villa -
Heskey is fooking terrible :|
-
Someone murder Heskey, for fook sake.....
-
I'm going to watch some paint dry instead.
-
Seems like karma to me.
We shit on Bent, he shite's on us.
Maybe we need to just bring in another proven prem goal machine and all will be fine.
-
Erm, is this the same side as the 1st half?
-
WOW. How fooking shite are we
-
Wow, didn't take long did it. Where are all the 'i can't wait for him to prove the doubters wrong'.
The turn around at the Villa on numerous fronts has been astounding.
IMO I can't see Mcleish being sacked, Randy would need to dip into his pocket and have to admit he got to so wrong, anyone remember the crowds at Villa Park saying don't do it.
Sad days ahead.

This was a Chelsea side who didnt get out of 2nd gear
Those waiting for SI to get "match fit" are in cloud cuckoo land, the guy is a petulant, shirker
**** him off as soon as I say
Why is he petulant and why is he a shirker?
Because he's a spoilt brat, who needs a slap.

If ain't this year, it will be the next.
-
Well the Villa manager was holding a blues scarf up how long ago, so many disregard that as nothing, yet post on here slagging of Downing.
Hmmm.
-
people are betting on us to be relegated?
jesus christ get a grip that's disgraceful
Bit hair raising last season at one point.
Imagine next year with him in charge from the start
-
Why wasn't Mcleish's name in the poll?
-
Don't think they will have the balls to do a press conference. Image if they do though, will make your skin crawl
3 year deal, **** great bit of insurance there Randy, all the **** eggs in one basket. Still what can go wrong. It's not like we are hiring someone with a serious medical condition right?
