Our biggest challenge now, is going to be moving players out. We would probably be happy to move Olsen, Digne, Chambers, Hause, Cash, Carlos, Coutinho, Donk, Tim, Archer and a few youngsters out. The more we can shift, the better for our squad building next season. I suspect we will struggle to shift half of that lot.
You’re absolutely right. The rules still apply: don’t sign mediocre players. But If you do, don’t pay them high wages. And If you do, at least don’t hand out long contracts.

hes proven at champ level, he would suit one of the parachute payment teams, Burnley maybe.
But Burnley will be aiming to bounce back up, and then Archer would be in their squad at Prem level again.

Is Haaland even the best striker from Norway? Sorloth just scored 4 against Real Madrid and is winning the golden boot in La Liga.

Has he gone off yet because he cant be asked?
He just assisted the assist for a Villarreal goal!

Some bloke called Bertie Traore just came on for Villarreal against Real Madrid btw.

How is everyone so confident he won’t be here next season? One year left on contract and buyers hardly queueing up.

Is it?
Just checked, seems to expire now. Props to Gerrard for not giving him 5 years.

Last time we ever have to suffer this donkey in our goal.
Bye, thanks for nothing to be honest.
His contract isn’t up is it? Doubt anyone will come and buy him.

A perfect stopgap after the Mings injury. Absolutely no clue how he got that contract out of Barcelona though. First CB I've ever seen whose worst trait is defending.
He’s really bad at running in general.

Palace remind me of us one year ago. Manager change mid-season, drastic change of playing style, main striker firing on all cylinders, ending the season on a high.

It's like we went into the game expecting Palace to have the same mentality as us.
Turns out they are taking the last game very seriously and professional
They’ve also been having so much fun these last two months and are absolutely flying. Very happy to be playing in front of their fans.

This would feel worse if we weren’t playing the most in-form team in Europe bar Leverkusen. Some people still seem to think ”but it’s only Palace”.

Well Olsen's reached his usual quota of 3 conceded
Isn’t it usually 4?

True although the turnaround has been instant in Mateta’s case. Ollie took a few months after Unai arrived.
That’s right. But Glasner’s effective high pressing style leads to a lot of high turnovers and great chances for Mateta, so no surprise it’s had such a quick effect for them/him.

Mateta was absolutely useless up until about 2 months ago, now he’s playing like he’s better than Ollie, ridiculous.
That’s what getting a really good manager in can do (Glasner). Much like Watkins and Emery actually.

Wharton’s stock has gone through the roof lately. If we could buy him, he would be the best ball winner we ever had.

I knew we'd lose today but it still feels like a real downer of an end to the season. Weird isn't it? Finishing fourth and still feeling a bit disappointed lol.
I also knew we’d lose against Palace as they’ve been brilliant lately and we haven’t. At least it doesn’t matter much.

Spurs lost four in a row and then struggled to get past Burnley.
Some of you: “They will definitely draw with city now”
Obviously it could happen, but assuming it will is WILD.
Isn’t it the fact that City historically have had Hotspur Stadium as their bogey stadium? No matter how shit Spurs have been previously they’ve somehow always got results at home against City.
At least City have scored a goal at that stadium now (in the cup) so hopefully the curse is broken.

We don't have to beat both Palace and Liverpool, a win against either would be enough for top four, and we're more than capable of beating either, especially Palace, who have just had a few good results, they're not world beaters, in fact them winning today makes me more confident of beating them as they're probably well due a loss now
Palace have changed dramatically under Glasner, they’ve been brilliant lately.

We won’t finish 5th
4th will be guaranteed by this time next week. And we’ll beat palace anyway
Realistically we’ll get 4th, but seriously doubt us at Selhurst Park on current form. Have you seen Palace lately? They’ve been incredible.

Why's that I wonder. What are the bookies factoring in?
Maybe they took a look at our bench

No they ain't, not until they beat Burnley, if they do.
Spurs getting top 4 actually dropped from 16/1 to 14/1 tonight

United are obviously awful but I’m really not looking forward to us playing at Selhurst Park soon.
-
Very predictable but now it’s done, relax. We’re **** and that’s the way we like it. Still love this wank club

In hindsight the right time to sell him was probably in 2022 when Sevilla sold him, after some great seasons.
