They're just getting better and better month by month. Great team spirit has been built since Carla took over

I believe in Unai to do something tactically that West Ham don't expect to mitigate the loss of Kamara and have us leading at half time
-
Bit gutted when this does get finalised, don't think he has ever really done anything wrong and has scored and assisted some great goals when he has had his chances. Just hope the replacement is an exciting one to soften the blow of losing a good goalscorer

Does the club realise how emotionally challenging it is trying to convince my 6 year old son that Villa is the club to support!

Gave Mings motm, didn't do much wrong and great assist. Bailey is really frustrating, think we need competition for his place in the window. Would have liked to have seen Coutinho for longer in hindsight. Thought Digne really struggled and we missed McGinn

Kamara and Luiz midfield makes me happy ATM. Totally different to how Gerrard failed to successfully create a midfield. Not a great match for Mcginn but credit for that pass. Agree with most, Young close for my MOTM

Defensively resolute, not much else going on although Watkins should have done much better. Going to plan so far?

I think Emery alluded pre-Liverpool that Martinez was likely to miss the 2 games. Although not my ideal preference I think Olson will benefit with game time

Thought Mings showed grit, fight and leadership under very difficult circumstances. Give him the armband back

I'm surprised (but maybe shouldn't be) that a centre back isn't in yet considering Hause has already gone. Just hope it is all done and dusted, be fairly disastrous if any CB lined up falls through at this late stage
-
Thought Luiz staked a claim but didn't think Chambers did himself any favours. New centre back can't arrive quick enough for me

Might be unpopular but I thought McGinn was decent today, not perfect but some of his long passing was key. Pleased to see Mings back and he saved our bacon a couple of times

Shocking half from him today. I’m leaning towards Carlos Chambers to start the season.
It was a slippery pitch but he just seemed to slip more than everyone else. Either he's being too casual or needs new boots

Out fought in my eyes again. Just too nice, no one fighting Leeds at their own game. Coutinho, Buendia and Ramsey were class for half an hour but not enough steel or composure elsewhere. Defense just got involved in Leeds' niggly game epitomised with some stupid yellow cards. Ref was atrociously inconsistent
-
Hope all works out for him, always seemed to keep his head down when out of the team. Produced so many important goals and moments to help us get back into a Premier League team. Seemed to be rarely injured too
-
If it was given for Ramsey being offside (and involved?) then why did the ref need to look at the screen?? Isn't it normally lines on the screen and then ruled out. It seems like someone was offside but we needed to involve the ref to find a reason they were involved in the goal. What a farce

Mings doesn't seem right recently. No idea if that relates to coaching or something personal. Personally I like him as a seemingly decent human being. Really interested to see how he responds under a new manager
-
Potter or Hasenhuttl for me in terms of those with experience of the Premier League. Seem to have the potential to step at the same rate that the progress the club want to make. There's plenty on here who have a lot of knowledge of managers around Europe but i'd be anxious of them settling in fast and building the team spirit needed
-
Until it gets worse (say lose the next 2) I'm not sure the obvious managerial answer is out there at the moment. If Smith is replaced it will be a punt which may (or may not) have a chance to be better than what is happening now. Sherwood / Garde etc.

The referee is in Arsenal's pocket but it's been so poor. Back 3 stretched time and time again, should have been changed after 20 minutes. Midfield 2 under such pressure they can barely string a pass together
-
Anyone think this could the goalkeeper shirt, then possibly the outfield player shirt could be a variation in black/grey with mint green claw marks

Hi, I have been a Villa fan all my life. The earliest game I remember was home defeat to Oldham in 1993 sitting high up in the North Stand with my Dad. Became a Season ticket holder during the O'Neil years until relegation when having children meant I couldn't get there every match. Go a few times a season at the moment but watch as much as I can and love the chat and podcasts to fill the week with all things Villa.

Yes taking the kids, find it's a bit more family friendly than the men's matches. Saw the Man City home game at the start of the season so hoping for as much entertainment again
