Now calmed down.
Bring on the boggies
Lambert will get it right given time
-
Never thought I'd say this but the game against west brom next week is massive
-
You can play bent or beneteke not both. The latter may come good but isn't involved enough to play alongside bent as well who is a pure luxury player unless he is getting service
-
We sign players from the lower leagues so we shouldn't be surprised when we get performancies like that. Westwood didn't track for two of th.e goals which is pretty basic stuff.
Barry, young, Milner, downing, mellberg, Lauren have left or been sold and we replace them with Players from lower leagues - what do we expect?
Told a mate this morning we would finish top half after last week - the embarrassment!
-
I think the worst thing of all is being laughed at by tv pundits and opposing fans at how we play. Its embarassing

£1k for me and my son in the Trinity. No chance will I renew. I love AVFC and have supported them for 40 years but its so boring and expensive as well as the prem in general being uncompetitive. I could actually stomach the mid table mediocrity if we were actualy entertained for a change. Watched yesterday on a stream on the TV as I couldn't be bothered to go. Glad I didn't bother.
the only positive is that we may have a few decent youngsters coming through. belnd that with a few experienced and good players (Hutton I ain't looking at you) and we could be fine. Re - sign Barry?
-
.....and buger all the fans who have to travel a distance to the games. Peed off but not surprised

Queuing down the Trinity Rd or Witton lane to get into the Holte
Arriving in the ground at 1.30 for a 3pm kick off to ensure you got a good place on one of the bars. My son can't beleive this as we now arrive 5 mins before KO
Always wondering what it must be like to sit at a game. My dad said we couldn't afford it.
Wearing 2 AV scarves around you wrists pretending to be tough
Standing at the back of the Holte wondering if the away fans would pay a visit
Pandemonium at Aston station trying to get a train on the way home
Bumping into away fans on the way back to said station
Getting up on a saturday morning and then deciding whether to a game or not. None of this forward planning malarky
Knees up Mother Brown
Great times

When people say Aston Villa are boring, it is not just the style of play they are referring to, it is also the club itself. Not much happens, uninspiring players. Boring boring club, and unfortunately I have to agree with them. Apart from the MON years and the time in the 90s when the club were doing well, this has alwys been the case.
It may be true in "your time" but it is ridiculous to claim that apart from "MON years and the time in the 90's" that AVFC have "always" been boring. From the early 70's to early 80's we were one on the most exciting teams in modern times! I was there and it saddens me that younger fans have never experienced an exhilarating AVFC team like we had then! We havent "always" been boring.
You didnt read my previous post did you.
Voinjama
You mentioned "always been the case"
Mike M is spot on. I give you seasons in my time
1975, 1977 (awesome team and season) 1981, 1982, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2007 to 2010
Your comments on Mellberg are incorrect. He was a hero no question because he embodied everything about AVFC
Suggest you start supporting Bayern
-
In fairness chelsea fans did join in with the 19th min applause

Just tried this
Use short links
and we stay up. So no worries!
Give it a go

Don't worry, Mcleish is off to Forest at they just sacked Billy Davies

Never posted to you before, but regularly read your replies to our questions and cant believe how lucky we are to have you as the face of AVFC. To date you, Randy and the Board have a done a fine job and have provide excellent financial support to MON. The difference between the DOL years until the end of last season has been phenomenal. Thank you
However, big problems now loom large and big decisions need to be made. I've been supporting Villa for nearly 40 years, am a current season ticket holder and have seen some great and some very poor teams. The 1985/86 relegation team and the last year of O'leary's team were recognisable for two things. A team that didn't want to play for the manager and just total shambles generally on the pitch resulting in a run of very poor results. These last 3 months convince me that this team is heading the same way.
You can blame injuries, blame the blooding of inexperienced youngsters (who are doing their best in my view) but the buck stops with the manager and his decisions. Why do we go some defensive to start games with only one striker against opposition such as Birmingham (twice), liverpool (poorest team they've had in living memory and without their 3 best current players), Arsenal (when we're at home and they've lost their last 2)? Ditto, Blackburn
Please make a very brave decision and move GH on now. He is yesterdays man. We want someone who is going to come in and inject some passion into the team, have the instant respect of the players and can play to the team strengths. GH has none of these qualities.
Mark my words after watching hundreds of Villa games this will all end in tears and Randy's 4 years of success will be ruined in 6 months.
You may think this is a knee jerk reaction, but it isn't. Everything is very wrong at the club at the moment
Thanks

Carew has done nothing so far..
I say, for about 12 months. If he didn't visit lap dancing bars and get a reputation for being a lad, he'd have been chased out the club by the fans long ago. The bizarrre hero worship we give him is about to end though
-
Ireland has been alright
Second half yeah, been knocking it about quite well. The team on a whole has just been shite though
Little point in knocking it around quite well, if you're not actually going anywhere or creating any chances. Last week was the same. You're clutching at straws

"Just checked sky sports team sheets on all our wins....
NO"
All our wins? Bet that didn't take long.
What are we now one win in 11 under GH??
-
Worse still does GH care?
-
I forgot just how bad we were with DOL. This is comparable but worse as we have fallen from a higher base. The lack of numbers in our away support says it all. Not being critical, just reflects what we all think
No one was inspired when GH joined and it looks like we'll be proved right. I take a 16th place finish NOW
Something is very, very wrong
-
Houlier is so defensive to start with and then only brings on some support for Gabby when its too late. Why not start with some attcking intent?
-
Has all the look of a team who don't want to play for the manager. Why?
To make it worse, Blackburn, Lpool and Blose are bloody useless and we make em look like Brazil
-
Carew and his worth? Not a lot
-
MON dropped us in the 5hit so he'll get no forgiveness from me.
If Randy chooses a 63 yr old has been who has spent 6 years out of the prem, then that's where the problem lies. Garry McAllistair failed Cov manager. Not a great team ay?
Don't worry Pires now on!
-
I'd have agreed with PB prior to the arse game. After Liverpool tonight he is spot on
-
Anyone see MON's post match interview? He was down and rather negative. I'd rather see a more positive reaction , gung ho spirit and saying we'll turn it around starting on Saturday. I was extremely hackd off tonight but have calmed down now
