Steven Gerrard hasn't lost the dressing room. He never had it. He can't coach and he has the personality of a bumhole. What are his strengths exactly?

I wonder what he actually does on the training ground.

Just standing there observing? Joins in on the training drills from time to time perhaps...

It does worry me that the owners might sell up when they see the failings of gerrard and the cost uts costing them

Well if it's true they were in the attendance today it shows they still very much care.

Purslow has a 50% success record eith his two appointments.  I wont be too harsh on him with gerrrad but the next one has to be right

It has to be a statement appointment. No more gambles. I dont believe the gerrard and purslow friendship was the main factor. I think his slick talking would have won them over like a proper oily car salesman. Also his name would have raised the profile of the club.

But no doubt about purslow and lange made  a mistake with this one

The CEO shouldn't be in charge of footballing decisions.

It wasn't even a bad performance, or an unwinnable game.

Under normal circumstance it would have been easy to say that was " unlucky " due to the nature of the goal.

However this was legit one of those where the Manager actually prevented us from winning the game with some absolutely ridiculous decision making.

If it wasn't for the fluke goal, even a draw on the balance of the game would have been a shit result.

I'd say it was a really bad performance.

We didn't create anything all game against a team dead on confidence.

Potter isn’t going to come to us.

    That's what I'm thinking too.

He has a very good thing going on at Brighton and if a top 6 club job becomes available he'll be a top candidate. He'll be aware of that.

So why not get a new manager in asap so that he can witness the Arsenal and City games to see what needs to be done? Delaying reaps no rewards!

We may miss out on the famous new manager bounce then something which could end up being vital for us right now considering our position.

  7. I don't think people should be so worried about Rodgers because he is struggeling right now.

This is very normal in modern football. The Rodgers - Leicester project has simply run it's course. They've had a good run but time to move on.

I'd be very happy with Rodgers.

No chance. Get him gone as soon as possible. I see no benefit to giving him any longer

Right now is not a great time to bring a new manager in.

Arsenal and City is pretty much 2 straight defeats whoever is in charge.

Yep, factor in the new stand build as well as the decimation of the squad, it's unthinkable. I think the decision will be out of his hands sooner rather than later.

My main point has always been Purslow should be nowhere near footballing decisions and that is on the owners I'm afraid.

He also appointed Dean Smith for Villa.

I get the sentiment, but this circular sentiment i don't get.

Dean Smith was a low risk appointment.

    It's completely different.

He has now directly set us back at least 2 years heading for a relegation battle if things doesn't drastically change. An increasingly aging squad and big wages.

The economic consequences if this goes wrong will be ginormous.
