The game will become more open as we will have to throw caution to the wind. Davis not great but preferable to Ally right now.

Based on our performances against the "big six" (if there's such a thing anymore) this season we'll lose to Arsenal. Which means we have to beat Everton and West Ham, and hope 6 points is enough.
However you look at it, today is a must win, an this is a far better team with a far better coach than Palace. So nervous already.

He can't tackle. He won't tackle. He can't pass forwards. He has no bite. Worst of all he just so so so slow on the ball and in his mind. He is telegraphed at this level. He is just out of his depth. Well done for rising through the leagues and getting to the PL. Great hard work , a credit to himself.
He is not a premier league calibre player. Not even close.
I think this is unfair. He's our second top scorer with the best goals per minute record in the squad. His passing is good and he's been much improved post lockdown, whether starting or from the bench. His set pieces are often worthy of a starting place, especially seeing the crap other players serve up. I think his passing is decent. He'll never be a great tackler.
He's a decent player, who may be signed by a lower end Prem club when we go down - eg Burnley or Watford.
We as fans (and I'd include myself in this) have a bad habit of doing this to players - from Cahill to Westwood. These players often turn out to be decent. I don't rate Trezeguet, but I'm glad he's proving me wrong!

I don't think arsenal are rubbish - they're very inconsistent for a top side as they're bringing through a lot of young players and an inexperienced manager. Post lockdown they've still dismantled good teams eg Wolves. I'd love to be wrong but I don't think we'll get anything there. For me, everything is riding on beating Everton.

At the moment he is no doubt our second best central midfielder after Luiz. Loved the commitment to win the header that led to the second goal. Must start all remaining games.

Leicester are utterly dreadful, even before the red card. How this team is in the top 4 and battered us 4-0, I'll never know.

The obvious / smarmy response is to say all of them - plus Xia, Wyness and Bruce. They were the reason we needed 12 players and only went up as Jack was a ringer.
However I think others have been soft on the players. I've been absolutely disgusted by every performance post lockdown except Blades and Liverpool. Mings, McGinn in particular seem to believe their own hype.

It’s not guaranteed, Watford were almost going to bottle it. But ofcourse they’re likely to win. But even a draw would be huge for us.
If Watford and West Ham failed to win (preferbly lost) then that would give us a huge advantage going into the last couple of games. They’ll play each other then 2 hard games for Watford, one hard one for West Ham then they play us.It was guaranteed. Norwich are as bad as we are. I hate being right...

Fair play to West Ham and Watford. They are far better than us and deserve to stay up. Both have genuine quality (and goal scorers) and look like they have desire for the club and belief in the manager. Our players have shown nothing - they don’t even look interested.
Disgusted at most people at the club who have let us get to this point.

I love the optimism, but I just don't see it. I don't think we'll have 7 shots on target for the rest of the season, never mind 7 points.
I think our season will be over by 16:00 tomorrow sadly. A Watford win today, a turgid, half-arsed loss tomorrow, and that'll be it.
Yep. Looking at how easy it is to demoralise our players, the fact that Watford and WHU will be 7 points clear of us by the time we play PALACE will mean they'll just give up.

Palace are a very decent team. It's not like we're playing Norwich. We've got no chance.

Reina
Guilbert Konsa Hause Taylor
Nakamba Luiz Hourihane
Grealish Davis El Ghazi

A really horrible performance. Who is to blame for that psychology - go one down and give up? Yeah it was unfair but we are not mathematically down, so go for it!
Conor, Taylor, Trezeguet and Luiz showed fight at least. I'm sick of our "best" players McGinn, Mings and of course Jack giving up every game.
Disgusted to see us go down with a whimper. Palace will smash us.

Trezeguet is an awful player bit at least he's trying to chase people down etc. Respect to him for that.

What's really depressing for me is the lack of fight, yes we are way short in terms of quality but to go down so tamely is not acceptable ,where is the pride?
Spot on.

Hilarious that people before the game said Bournemouth are down. They're leagues ahead of us in spirit, application and talent.

Absolutely pathetic. This is just woeful. The players need to hang their heads in shame.
-
We are awful. And deserve to go down. We are the second worst team in the league.
-
We can't try for a 0-0 again, the way United are playing they'll hammer us. We have to be responsible but positive.
Reina
Elmo Konsa Mings Taylor
Grealish McGinn Luiz El Ghazi
Hourihane
Davis
We have to play Hourihane I'd say as a set piece will likely be our best/only chance of scoring.

I just hope that Burnley could complete their favor and beat West Ham. That would keep it a race of 3 instead of 2. Then we see what will happen in the next couple of games.
Unfortunately Spam still have Norwich so that's basically another guaranteed 3 points. The unexpected Chelsea win put them out of reach. And deservedly so- we'd never get a win like that.

I'd keep Jota, Steer, Guilbert, Samatta and Hourihane for the Championship. Heaton I think is on a massive salary so we will have to get rid. Maybe a few others for consistency.
No chance of keeping Mings, McGinn, Grealish or Luiz. They're all PL quality players who will be available at below market rate.
The fact Trezeguet is still regularly starting games, despite being a terrible footballer, tells you everything you need to know about our squad.

Danny Welbeck goal to send us down. They could be 7 points clear of us by the time we play Palace.

Bookies have Watford odds on to win. Norwich are 4/1

I’ll be honest, I’d be very tempted to keep our more important players out of the Man Utd game. I don’t see us getting anything from it and so I’d be targeting the Crystal Palace fixture to have a fully fit and fresh starting 11, it’s a fixture we can win and we then have a further 4 days until the Everton fixture, another fixture we can target for a win. Between the UTD game and Palace we only have Friday & Saturday, and we already have Grealish & Mings nursing knocks. It’s all about those final four fixtures for me, they are the games we can realistically target to gain the required points. Little point trying to go toe to toe with a flying Man Utd and risking players for the following two weeks. Get them rested, get them fully prepared for the Palace game. Win the Palace game.
Problem is we need something from the United game. We won't get anything, but we have to try. Otherwise with Norwich and Newcastle at home, Watford could realistically be 7 points clear of us before we play Palace. Even if we then beat Palace (which is miles from a given) we'll still essentially be down.

El Ghazi has sent us down with that clearance of Everton's goal line.
