Anyone else think Elphick and Ayew might pick up a booking to avoid being suspended for the Newcastle game?

Or they could try not to pick up bookings at all for the next 2 games...

  4. If we don't win the Forest match, I'm genuinely intrigued to know what's gonna happen in this match. Brentford are playing Brighton before us, two hard fixtures for them. Hopefully they'll think of Brighton as the team they can get a hope of getting something.

Don't get me wrong, Brentford are a class side, I just think their signing quality could've been a bit better. They've thought too much about the future and not enough about the present, their push for promotion. As a Brentford fan I'd be ecstatic with the signing of Rico Henry, but honestly, a League 1 side can't win you games in the championship.

It all depends on the Forest result for us and the team and result they get from their Brighton match. If they start a rotation side against Brighton, we've got something to worry about. If we lose the Forest game, we could potentially lose this one also.

Still, I know it's a bit early, but I'm predicting a 1-0 Villa. I could be completely wrong though.

  5. Surely a win this time? Squad morale is high, international break featured a number of highlights,  most notably JonAthan Kodjia's goal. For rest have Eric Lichaj, our old American wing back. Forest have a class manager, so do we. They're also sort of a one man team in Assombalonga. Changing my earlier prediction. 2-0 Villa

Well, every time I've started a thread about a player this summer within 12 hours they have signed so, welcome Albert Adomah?

Quick, strong, six million quid, can't go wrong?

As was noted in the speculation thread he has played in over 40 games in his last 6 seasons, all at this level.

He's 28 years old and has 24 goals and 15 assists in his last 130 games for Boro and has a handy 7.06 rating on WhoScored - https://www.whoscored.com/Players/35328/History/Albert-Adomah

    Thoughts?

Great signing. Helped Boro get promoted last season and can hopefully do it for us too. An average rating of 7.20 is incredible and apparently he's consistent, something we've been lacking of late.

    So...

Yes from me based on the very little I have seen and the few bits I have heard. Pacey, strong, scores goals. 19 Championship goals last season.

Get him in and be done with it!

Glad that it's confirmed. We needed a player with ambition to get us out of the championship and who can assist. Perfect sort of player we needed. Can assist Ross mccormack and is fast enough to beat the man and finish. Great signing from Di Matteo. He is one hell of a player and is a first team player. This signing could be the thing that gets us out of the championship.
