Picking a team based on their star signs is better than letting Southgate pick the team.
He just follows his nose.

The map idea is great but what's the lime green and 1/4 navy collar all about? Ruins the shirt for me.
Still not as bad as Wolves' away shirt though.

Martinez was shouting at Zach to show for him when Cash was taking throw ins, he has a decent throw on him.
Looks a great purchase to me, plenty of confidence on the ball, nice cross on him and a willingness to run. For the penalty he followed the ball incase Martinez pushed it out.

I think that would be a bit weird considering how good he is in the final third roaming from the wing. And didn't some Villa podcast bloke who were connected say we were after a new number 8? What's the plan then? Bench McGinn?
No. It was Gregg Evans who knows **** all.

This is how we'll end up if Rashica signs
So Rashica on the bench?

Judging by the innuendos in the Rashica thread, I'm surprised we are not in for this guy:-

I only want this dude now if he gets a Jack Grealish haircut, costs 18m and turns up on his hands and knees begging for it, with a begging letter stuck in his gob.

I presume no takers on Hogan?
SHA will have him, they are just looking down the back of the sofa to see what change they can spare.

Mmmmmm this picture for me says alot. On one hand you have the player saying thank F*** you come to your senses boss, on the other hand you have Southgate saying make it count because it's the only 15 minutes you'll ever see while I'm England boss.
The man is like the devil behind that smile, dressed in that suit, I tell you he could be a bond Villain right now Southgate could be.
Nosefinger?

Yes - I agree his saving grace tackles and workrate are his good points. But his positional play and forward passing are desparate. Don't know much about MC but on the face of it - big gap well plugged.

Clam down, love.
The point is he said it's less than ideal, but that doesn't mean we'll never sign a player late again particularly if it's someone we're desperate to get and we have little choice but to wait.
Not more bloody fish puns...

I would have agreed with this if he was coming to the end of his career (33 years +) but he's 28! There'll be loads of better clubs in for him.
He's also on about 135k Euro+ a week (Wikipedia figures from 2016)

Forget the £22m bid vs €38m release clause......it sound like he’s waiting on Leipzig and/or another club to express interest in him.
I wouldn’t want him if he really didn’t have any other option but to come here.
obviously that could just be paper talk but I want players who don’t think they’re taking a step down coming to Villa. Their ambition must match ours.
Surely in "real life", if you have a number of job offers on the table, or pending response from a prospective employer, you would consider them all and make a decision when you have them all in hand? Considering RB Leipzig are in Germany where Rashica is already based, and have CL, that's two pretty big ticks in their favour. Downsides to Leipzig are lower wages (and lower transfer fee so less money for his agent etc)
The things in our favour are likely higher wages, and Premier League football, but we have just survived by the skin of our teeth, similar to Bremen.
All he's doing is waiting to see whether there is a better offer, like most of us would.

That Birmingham Live article says we’ve had a bid of £22m accepted, but then goes on to mention a release clause of €38m.
I’m no foreign exchange guru, but €38m equates to £34m, does it not?
Am I missing something here?
Release clause means they have to accept a bid at that figure. They can accept lower if they want.
