Are you having a bubble? You said we we didn't play well . Not that Sheff utd didn't play well. So tell me, who iyo, were the better team.,without your rose tinted spectacles on.
Not sure what a bubble is but.... Sheffutd were the best team in the first half. They are a good team they've been in the top 6 longer than we have. Thought there wasn't much difference in the second half. Utd had a lot of shots on target, how many were actual threats... not many. Thought their crosses were better but didn't lead to a goal. We showed a moment of quality up front, that doesn't negate the quality we showed at the back to keep a clean sheet. We won. Not rose tinted spectacles just a statement. Therefore we were better despite not playing great, but sometimes you can only be as good as the opposition let you be.

I think you've already answered that.
Usually when the better team lose, it's the general opinion that they were unlucky, so by that logic, we were lucky.
Who said they were the better team? I said they were a good team.

I really enjoyed the game. Missed the first 10 minutes looking for a pub in Stratford that shows football. Thought, as they were at villa, that Utd are a good strong physical team, but we have that touch of class. We could have lost it, and we will lose games before the end of the season. But, whether Bruce is popular or not, he is changing the mentality of a team, we would have lost that in the prem. we would have lost it last season, we would have drawn it at the start of this season. We have momentum, not a great team, but momentum could get us there.

If we get promoted, then IMO, we must get rid of Bruce. That kind of football won't help us in the premier, it's primitive at best, and we can't rely on luck, it has a tendency to dry up .
Jesus. Where's the luck? We didn't play well but Utd are a good team at home. We scored they didn't. We win they don't.

Yes, the players were Premier League quality.
The issue was we were relying too heavily on players who weren't - Gestede, Ayew, Veretout, Richards, Lescott, Grealish & Richardson.
When Garde finally got the team right we went 3 games unbeaten, then Kozak and Traore both suffered season ending injuries.
If we stuck with the team below from the beginning of the season we more than likely would have stayed up if we strengthened again in January.
Guzan
Hutton Okore Clark Amavi/Cissokho
Bacuna Gueye (Westwood, Sanchez)
Traore Gil Gabby (Ayew, Sinclair)
Kozak
Sherwood, MacDonald, Garde and Black would have relegated half the teams in the Premier League in 2015/16.
Ifs and buts.
couldnt disagree more, 1 out of that back 5 is premier league quality
1 possibly 2 of the midfielders
none of the front 4
-
Gil, Amavi, Westwood, Bacuna, Cissokho, Kozak & Sanchez for me are all Premier League quality.
possibly the most ridiculous post I've ever seen. I appreciate that we all have different views but...........
So the team that got us relegated from the premier league is premier league quality.
seriously?

I turned it off - it was turgid. Rowett seems like a younger slightly more upgraded version of Pulis.
Great result. Beat Barnsley and hope Wednesday do us a favor and we'll right in the thick of an automatic promotion place.
I'm so freakin excited/anxious for our great club to have some success at long last.
One of my mates is a season ticket blue nose. Even now he says the consensus was that rowett was terrible. Was scraping 1-0s with shocking football.

Never in trouble, felt the energy that thor gave us in a cdm role made a massive difference. Tackling instead of trying to intercept. Forest are not a bad team.

An appalling player. Hasn't even got close to being in a championship team. Will run down his contract and go to china in 18 months. If I could add a clip it would be Obama dropping the mike. Can't believe there's still a thread on him.shows the minefield xia inherited.
Aaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh.

Wenger out?
-
Getting worse and worse each time I see him. Could barely stand up yesterday.

Thought he was my motm. Continually wanted the ball, and always finds space on the edge of the box. He's not a number 10, just a good attacking mid. Unfortunately when onomah is beside you, you're screwed.
-
Really impressed me. Not ready to be starting games regularly, but should be coming on every week as a sub to build up game time. Would look to see him in a central role - felt he was played too wide yesterday.
-
Looks comfortable on the ball, would agree not a cb. Needs to be playing to improve.
-
We need a positive result to keep the Bristol feel good factor going. But we can't flog Adomah, etc to death, or risk injury to Grealish, Chester etc. Has to be a strong bench, when in likelihood a lot of the starters are coming back from injury or not played 90 minutes against a league team.

Last night was noticeable that even at 2 - 0 and playing well the crowd were still quiet and edgy.
We have been so brow beaten for so long people just expect the worst and don't trust us. Personally I genuinely find it hard to celebrate a goal, I am just expecting the sucker punch to follow.
It was only when we went 3 - 0 up that the crowd started to let loose.
Others looking on who have no idea of the journey we have been on will see it as bad fans, but the reality is we are like 30,000 Theon Greyjoys destroyed by Bolton Ramsay who have not yet got any confidence back.
Great point.
great analogy.
Dont judge the fans until you've been hat we've been through.

I'm not sure its down to Whelan not getting stuck in, i think it's more to do with the fact that Whelan isn't as disciplined as Jedinak.
Whelan gets pulled out of position to easily which leaves gaps.
Would agree, he runs side to side, and hourihane has too be where he isn't. At least jedi goes to the ball.

Steer
Bree. de Laet. Elphick. Taylor
Thor Whelan. green
Ohare
RHM. Hogan
Keep Davis, Grealish Terry on bench if we need them.
-
I don't want us to sign anyone unless they are "guaranteed" a first team place. We've a massive squad, we need to sign the right players or no one. I'm more eager to clear out the ones who clearly aren't wanted or needed RMc. Bunn, Richards, gabby , de laet .
I know now it won't happen, but a good window might be a more balanced squad.
Id bid for Flint from last night, he's a beast, and would make Johnson cry.

No surprise that we play him in a more advanced position and he plays well. Jedi really gives him the security to push forward.
Totally agree. Has to cover for whelan because whelan doesn't really tackle. Has more freedom to go forward with Jedi. Thought he was full of energy and offered attacking threat.
-
Think Peterborough may be his first start. Can see Hogan Green and Rhm with O'hare behind.
-
I like the fact he was on hand for every goal - wasn't hiding. As injuries take their toll on other teams he will score more.

Fair point we can go around in circles. At least we won.
