Ignore me if this has been discussed already but with big t saying there are no more clauses does that mean the apparent £5m clause in Richards contract doesn't exist?

    Ignored!

  2. They lost 5-4 aet tonight to morecambe. With a few first teamers playing aswell. They should give us a chance to score... But we will have to defend well.

Will reserve judgement on my predicted line up until after tomorrow's game!

Pretty sure we can forget about Hernandez now. Hull will want a ridiculous amount of money for him, especially seeing what we've just paid for McCormack.  I see Wells is on the bench tonight.

Wells is just back from injury isn't he? So, will no doubt be eased back in. Probably get half hour tonight. Looking through some championship teams, I see a few have rested players tonight.

Nah - he took an extra touch - all the commentators picked up on it.

His first touch was slightly behind himself meaning he needed the extra touch out his feet. Classic sign of a bit of rustiness, a fit McCormack would've buried that chance.

  5. An update to my situation....

Obviously you all know that I recently split with the long-term girlfriend... and I was having a rough time. I done everything everyone told me and it has started to ease. Today, at work, People commented on how they could see I was starting to look happier. Thanks for all the great advice.

So, here's the kicker.... She messaged me today saying how hard she is finding it. There was no invitation to meet up, no suggestion of getting back together... just to tell me she was finding it hard and how she keeps thinking about 'what we've thrown away'. What's everyones opinion??

And before you say DHUTWU, it's already been done on many occasions so that's not the answer!!!

  6. Wow, here I am moaning about splitting up with my mrs when villapark1 comes out with all that. kind of puts things into perspective. For me, at least, there arent kids involved and a mortgage to worry about. fortunately, although we were trying for kids, we dont have kids to involve in it.

Unfortuntaely though, i logged onto facebook this morning to see shes back on there and so are all the pictures of us together! went and played football, had a shocker and got beat 4-0!! Not ideal.

Little steps though, and at least i got out and played football. I'll get there... just like the rest of ya!

  7. Thanks for all the advice, fortunately got a cracking set of friends/family right behind me. But, no matter how many times you hear it... its always good to hear things again. Everyone goes through it, its almost inevitable... but when it happens to yourself its always worse than you expected.

My older brother went through it a few years back, and told me go for a run. get out for hours running/walking. he did it every day for about a month and got through it that way. i have that and also in a position to play football at least 4 times a week which is a plus.

The 'dont contact her' thing is something she has seen to anyway... deleted her facebook, changed her number which is, i suppose, what makes it worse. The thought that i didnt do anything wrong and yet she can walk away from it that easily. But, like youve all said... time will sort that out.

    Cheers everyone

  8. So, recently split with the long-term girlfriend and I'm losing my head! Constantly looking at my phone, checking facebook... everything I possibly can do, just waiting for her to text!

I'm probably going OTT, does anybody have any advice/past experience on how to deal with this sort of thing?

  9. Hereford are the local team where I live, fortunately for us they are very poor. Former physio as manager who is currently undoing his great reputation at the club (former player for them). Not much quality in their squad, look for a lad called 'Arquin', a young French lad who is very much in the same mould as Manset who signed for Reading in the summer, from Hereford. He is their dangerman by all accounts but rarely gets started in games.

Alot of the fans down here saying it will take a miracle for them to stay in the football league this year! Even with a mix of youth/experience it should be comfortable as long as we are professional about it. I'm coming up for it and will have to move away unless we win very comfortably!

  10. We dont look like scoring. At all. I have sympathy for Gabby, Its almost like he's playing up front on his own.... even when Heskey/Carew are on. It's a good job the defence are superb, they have the right to ask questions about why we aren't doing more up front.

  11. And finally, I thought Arsenal's players were teriffic passers, very skillful, but **** gayboys whenever challenged in the tackle. Never seen "men" fall over as easy as these pooves

The players know they will get the free-kick. Wengers constant bullshit in the media about the tackles on his players means they are far to over-protected. We saw that tonight, you touch them..... they go down..... they get the free-kick. The ref tonight was just a sucker to it all.

  12. Furthermore to 'paulanddonya's point.... I also live in Herefordshire, and played all through the junior ages.

The younger kids who have "something", when they reach a certain age, tend to move away from playing football. The kids dont get proper coaching around here, certainly from my experience.

Because Herefordshire is 'in the sticks', it never seems to get acknowledged. I have a friend, who is an excellent player, and was never scouted. He played locally for a team called Pegasus Juniors, and after a recent FA cup run, has been signed by a Blue Square Premier team at the age of 23. Im Positive with the right training from the youngest age, he could have made it. The talent is out there, even 'in the sticks'

  13. General, The main problem with last night was, the players didnt seem interested. They didnt want to know. Its disapointing to see when a fair few fans made the long trip up North and paid their money. We all know we arent going to win every game, but to lose without a fight, to go down with such a whimper was really disapointing. Against Blackburn, we didnt play well, but fought and won the game, a little more last night and the same may have happened. I hope MON is on the training ground right now firing some rockets up arses!!! It is the right time of year......

Not a question i know, Just wanted to let you know what i thought.

  14. Hi General, just had a problem with getting tickets for the game against Liverpool!A mate of mine rung up the ticket office and tried to get 3 tickets. He had a season ticket last season, gave it up this year and could only buy 2 tickets. Yet i, who went to five games, could buy 4 tickets as of tomorow. Just seems rather bizarre, surely he should be more priority than me and be able to get 4 tickets aswell?? so, we had to buy 2 tickets and then buy a further one at a later date as i cant afford to pay for all 3 tickets. Now we will be seperated from sitting together! It seems like the ticket office werent very helpful to us at all either!!

So we have 2 tickets, and will get a third, just not in the best circumstances really!
