  1. Should have stuck with Garde and given him the chance to build his own squad [emoji20]

In an ideal world , yes, but Garde had clearly given up. It is very difficult to come back from that.

  2. Whilst we're on about 80s films:

Flight of the Navigator star charged with bank robbery

The former child star of '80s film Flight of the Navigator has been charged with bank robbery in Canada.

Deleriyes Joe Cramer, who was known as Joey Cramer when he starred in the 1986 movie, was arrested in Gibsons, British Columbia.

The robbery took place in nearby Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police issued a statement saying the 42-year-old had been charged with four offences relating to the bank robbery.

Blimey. Now that was a crap film! ;-) no wonder he needs the money!

  4. I don't know if it's a good thing how quiet this has gone or if there is indeed **** all happening.

I really hope it's not the latter, I can't take another year of Randy.

Me either. let's hope we don't have to. :-(

  5. In all likeliness, the team his son was playing for were all staying in the caravan park. I've been to tournaments like that when I was a kid.

It would be pretty arrogant, and unfair if Gabby paid to put his son up somewhere fancy instead.

Maybe. I still think that the photo is a cynical PR exercise though.

And at that point, that's me done on the Weymouth photo. Plenty of other reasons to hate the guy.

  6. Lol. You have absolutely no idea what they were doing out there, why, or the circumstances. Ever thought maybe it was some sort of retreat and all the boys were staying in cabins? It is not even something I should even be bothering to explain to be honest. You also have no idea about his relationship with his kids, and or what he does or does not provide for them.

It is also like the people so desperate to jump at anything they bring up his "mum", failing to recognise that she abandoned him when he was two years old, and starting wanting to meet him ever so much when he burst on the scene! Either way, nonsense.

Since you want to argue the toss.....I have never mentioned his Mom. And how do *you* know the details of his relationship with his mom? she could have had very good reasons for not being in his life and the timing could be complete coincidence. :-)

Anyway, I am happy with my view of Gabby's caravan escapades and don't need anyone to validate it thanks.

By all means, be proud of your son's tournament (who knows, the son may be a better player than Gabby ;-p ) but tweet the pic from the tournament, maybe with the rest of his team..... the only reason for having his photo taken outside a caravan is for PR, although I don't doubt that his son is staying there and he isn't.

I know enough about him to know that he is about as good a dad as he is a footballer. Turning up to one of his sons football games does not change that.

  7. Well, I mean, it just clearly isn't.

I'm not going to blame him for, say, the excessive damming of the Mekong river.

Well you should! He has done NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING about it. It's as if he didn't care about it at all.

There are a multitude of reasons for "disliking" Gabby etc., but this is absolute grade A, scraping the bottom of the barrel tosh.

Rubbish. Any reason for disliking Gabby is valid. Plus a man of his means staying in a Caravan in Weymouth is very unlikely so it is either:

    1) he is being cheap by putting his "missus" and kid in a caravan whilst he stays somewhere else (no way he is staying there)

    2) it is cynical PR to say "look at me, I am a typical family man, just like you...." trying to get the fans back inside.

Either way it is bullshit and he is detestable. You sir seem to be falling for the shallow, PR bull crap.

*edit, for clarity, I have nothing against static caravan holidays..... in fact my parents had a static in Weymouth for many years after we moved to Brum.

  9. Made me laugh

    http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/lame-banner-really-newcastle-uniteds-11279443

Is this lame banner REALLY Newcastle United's answer to Aston Villa's Sob on the Tyne taunt?

The fierce rivalry dates back to May 24 2009 when a 1-0 Villa win condemned Newcastle to relegation.  That day a less-than-sympathetic banner proclaiming 'Sob on the Tyne' was displayed in the Holte End, along with another asking: 'Who will be you next Messiah - Ant or Dec'. The Toon Army have not forgiven the Villa Park faithful for mocking their misery and it could be a feisty encounter in B6 this weekend. Now this 'Glum in the Brum' banner, purportedly made by Newcastle fans is doing the rounds on social media.

I notice the comment underneath the guy says 'i saw you in 'The Gloucester'. That doesn't sound like a bloody library.

Its quite a nice steakhouse near the sea front (I was born in Weymouth)

  12. So basically it is one of his kids that he has had with one of his many classy and respectable girlfriends.... and the maintenance he pays them is enough to spring for a caravan holiday in Weymouth. The guy just oozes class at every opportunity.

Get this sack of shit out of the club.

  13. I think that they will survive. They have the momentum at the moment and I think they will kick on in the last two games. I think it will be Sunderland and Norwich. In a way that is good as we will definitely be the big club down there next season so we *should* get the pick of the players.

on the negative side, it does mean that we will be the big club down there so the focus will be on us, and we will be everyone's cup final. If Newcastle had gone down as well, like it or not, the focus would have been them, not us, which would have allowed us to go under the radar a little.

Way to early for a thread like this,we need to finish this season and wait for fixtures/takeover/manager before we even contemplate a thread of this nature!

Indeed... We may still need another relegation thread :-(

Hopefully we need this one though :-)
