"The Midlands side, who finished 11th in the Premier League this season, could supposedly be tempted by bids of around £100m for the England international.

They could then strengthen their squad this summer, just as they did last year with the likes of Ollie Watkins, Matty Cash and Matt Targett.

But various reports state that Villa have no intentions to sell their captain and they have no financial need to do so either."

How do they get away with such bull s##t 🤣

Without going OT I think “smart” was a theme running through last seasons transfer window, and one I expect to continue during this one.

We may not get the names some expect/want, but I’m confident we’ll be much stronger at the end of it.

This is a very good point.

I would imagine there would have been some very underwhelmed Leicester City fan's when they signed Kante....

Who's the one player "dream" if you had to name one? Cock on the block one signing

Just trying to gauge it, go daft, go realistic, go £1 go £40m, any position any player... Just 1 player

    I'd say brandt £25m

    Patson Daka, £40m?

Just a hunch. He has out grown us IMO. He deserves to be playing on the biggest stage and let’s be honest that’s not happening with Villa. Yes, he loves the club but he’s given his all for us and he is probably thinking I’ve got the world at my feet and could play for anyone in the world. What the point in staying any longer.

It's Saturday night, take another sip of that half empty glass.

    Better than Pereira.

Buendia is probably better right now, but McNeil has a higher ceiling.

Granted Buendia is a short arse, but I'm certain he hasn't had his ceiling lowered.

Yep, he's got cult hero written all over him. He will have days where he stinks the place out, but when he's good he's VERY good.

I see him as 40% Ronaldinho, 30% Ronny Rosenthal, 20% Ronald McDonald.

  7. I wish we would put a bid in for Harry Kane.

Yes, I know we have zero chance of getting him, but imagine the reaction to it in the football world, show them all we are back and we mean business.

Would be brilliant to see the shock and jealousy at our impudence 🤣

He really needs to learn his lessons, yes we have progressed with him but we won’t go any further unless he learns when and how to change things - doesn’t just mean subs, but shape - anyone who watches football can see what was going to happen.  Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

    Far too predictable.

    This.

If our plan A doesn't work, or the team are not 100%, the opposition figure us out far too easily.

The template for this was 0-3 Leeds.

  9. Really disappointing result.

We started well, but switched off immediately after scoring the first goal.

What concerns me is that the same problems every game are happening, (Midfield weak, switching off after scoring, awful at set pieces etc) and yet nothing seams to be being done about it?

I like Smith, and won't be calling for his head, but it is more than fair to criticise his management recently, as we have been for the most part poor.

I fear he we invest heavily again in the summer, and this trend continues, he will be gone.

Don't think it was a pen, but don't see how the ref can call that a dive either, and really don't think he deserves to be made an example of by jermaine **** jenas on motd. Gutted for him watching that tonight after his efforts and bad luck this year

His last name rhymes with what he is.

Just about to write the same thing. Horrible people.  The club should take his season ticket off him!

    Agree with this 110%!

And agree with how AEG articulates it. You can criticise, but never personal abuse!

    I agree.

I've seen his name suggested on here many times lately and I am not sure why.

I can only guess people are listening to the 'hype' around him when he signed for SU. I've watched alot of Premier League this season as I guess most have, and every time I see Berge play he has been average at best, definitely not what we need.

Back on topic, 5 more wins and there's still a chance 😉
