Why bother playing any games next season, when we already know it won't be any good? Amirite?
So..... You're on the fence then?

Aston Villa promise to improve after Kevin MacDonald bullying claims
Villa have promised to review the safeguarding of academy players following a Premier League inquiry into the behaviour of under-23s coach Kevin MacDonald.
Complaints against MacDonald by an unnamed player and his family led to an investigation by the league, which claims to have found evidence of “bullying, aggressive behaviour and unacceptable language”.
A report in The Telegraph has revealed Villa were ordered to make "sweeping and vigorous changes" to the welfare protection of young players with MacDonald, a prominent figure in the club’s academy for much of the past two decades, accused of emotional bullying and shaming of players in front of team-mates.
It was also alleged personal insults and abusive language occurred on a daily basis.
Villa were relegated to the Championship last season but the Premier League pursued the case as the allegations occurred while they were a top flight club.
The investigation noted there had been a "renewed emphasis" on safeguarding and welfare since Tony Xia's takeover at Villa Park last summer.
In a statement, Villa said: “The club considers the safeguarding and welfare of all players to be of paramount importance.
“To this end it has recently appointed a full-time safeguarding and welfare officer to ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all players and staff.
“While it cannot comment on specific allegations the club can confirm that it has recently been the subject of a safeguarding review by the Premier League.
"The club has co-operated fully with the Premier League in respect of its investigation and is currently reviewing the Premier League’s recommendations with a view to further improving its safeguarding.”
Former Leicester and Liverpool midfielder MacDonald first joined Villa in 1995 and has twice had spells as interim manager.
After leaving in 2012 he had a brief spell in charge of Swindon Town before returning in 2015, initially as assistant to Tim Sherwood.

Keep battling boys. Fighting hard so far has managed to get us to half time 1 up. Show the same heart second half and we might just nick this one.

Hmmm can't say I'm glad he's back tbh. Ahead of Hutton, maybe. Ahead of Bree, Chester, Baker or Elphic no chance. Bruce's comments worry me.

Or got a great social media manager since he can barely speak english?
Yeah, I totally agree he must have a social media guy working for him but surely the positive response "his" tweets have been getting will have got back to him. Surely he will have to now take this on board now and show more willing to pass to Hogan and put a bit more of a shift in. It can only be a good thing for Villa regardless of whether he wrote the tweets or not.

Well after Dr X's tweets this morning I don't expect Bruce to be going anywhere anytime soon. Glad, I didn't want Bruce to begin with but we need to stabilise now and build from where we are.

If he had a brain he'd be dangerous..... Only in a good way!

I think stick to three at the back away from home with better pressing and learning to hunt the ball In packs it will work. Need a more attacking formation at home though.

My days, if you are worried about this fella being any good, don't bother. Him and Hogan are the ones to watch!

I didn't want him but its no good changing the manager at this stage. Give him the season and if we don't improve then bring someone else in.
This for me too. There wasn't many folks didn't want Bruce but I was one of those that didn't. But no way can we sack him now. He's not a poor manager all of a sudden. Only a few days since the transfer window shut! Got to give him a chance to work with his own players and create a team. It's not that we can't start all over again it's more like we need to see if he can gel his own players together before making that decision. There were some signs of the beginning of that even tonight. It was better than Brentford that's for sure.
