  1. Garde has been a poor appointment. To have a win ratio of zero after 8 games is shocking.

When he took over, we still had an opportunity to get out of this mess, but in fact its just got worse. To not be able to muster a single victory is really poor and any capable manager should have been able to scrape at least through one victory.

He has made mistakes as well - the horrendous lineup against Norwich, just to take an example.

  2. I see quite a few people quoting 'whispers_listen' from Twitter. Hes a fake/fraud. He deletes tweets and deliberately covers his writing style because he is '@AVFC the window/Next match' in disguise. Both the same person.

AVFC transfer tweet may also be the same person as the people above.

    Just kids messing about.

  3.

Do you think that any of Townsend, Darder, Praet and Ntep are still on the radar?

Still think we need another forward even if we sign Adebeyor.

Answering my own question, but an [alleged] ITK on Twitter suggests we are waiting on Cambiasso who is interested, and failing that may have one more mid. Veretout medical tomorrow. Adebeyor this week, waiting on Holgate too, no other strikers. Baker and Robinson to go out on loan/perm, tonev, Cissokho, Hutton, baker and senderos told to find new clubs. Clarke to have new contract shortly, possibly this week. N'Zog away on Thursday.

Suggest's our new SD Almstadt is key to a lot of this activity as they were on Arsenals radar and conversations were had while at the Arse.

    Twitter: whispers_listen

the whispers listen twitter guy is a fraud. He is the same person as 'avfc the window' who tweets every min of the day.

he deletes tweets all the time

  4. two points but I prefer to look at it tat te TEAM won a point in a tough match

OK, 'cost us the full three points' then. The team could have won three points if it wasn't for an INDIVIDUAL error. Lack of concentration and running around like a headless chicken has cost us dearly today. It was a tough match but if we are going to have any hope, its also down to the individuals being accountable on the pitch, Holman wasn't.

  5. Hello ..

I was very impressed in him in some of the last couple of games .. especially at Norwich ! He seems to dribble better now .. and try to shoot .. which I think he is getting more confidence .. And tbh honest I'll start him ahead of Bannan against Wigan and give him the chance ..

I didn't see almost the first 30 mins of Spurs game .. but the last 15 he wasn't bad .. the second half everybody seemed lost ..

Let's give him the chance against Wigan .. he may score also and we could see a reallyt good player ..

I wasn't thinking that I would be the one to say give him the chance .. but he reallly surprised me at Norwich !!

    he is suspended

  6. can we lock this :-

    ..it isn't that funny....

...loads of people will click and open - just to be tricked....

I disagree. On a day where Sky Sports have shown they really don't research any news story themselves unless it's one of their darling clubs, a cock up like that is quite amusing.

What else have Sky done today? Must have missed it

  7. The desire in the squad is at nil due to all of our best players being sold, therefore the remaining players are now left thinking 'whats the **** point?'

Because they get paid to maybe? Whether the players do or dont agree with whats going on or whos telling them what to do they should always put desire and as much effort in as possible. This is what being called a professional is.

Ends up being psychological though, especially as this industry is so media driven. You can't compare footballers to other professions. Especially with it being a team game, its a natural though no matter what level you are at.

This one gets trotted out too often and I also never compared it to other professions either. Football is part psychological, as a lot of sports are, form and quality of play can be effected but there is no excuse to not putting effort in.

I really don't disagree with you, but to be honest I look at the players last in all of this. The board and management team have overseen this complete mess.

Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Gabby, Albrighton, Heskey and Cuellar - all players that were around when we were pushing for top 4. We really were nearly there. So imagine the deflation after putting so much effort in over 2yrs to now seeing us selling our best players and settling 10th/11th in the table.
