  1. I see there are some who don't rate MON who have come on and praised the team so fair play to them.

I wonder if barrysboot and tro will come and give credit?

Also great timing by sting. What a week to return and carry on moaning like a d$@k. Maybe one day he will be right.

100% record against the top 4, 3rd in the league and semi final of the cup. Proud to have had faith in the manager.

I know. It's sad isn't it. You are so right.
  2. Nothing has happened at all, i was just saying that i think he is a great character and will be missed when he suddenly dissappears off this plant....which hopefully is a million miles away. It was just random.
    A couple of things here.

    1) If you say "this plant" then you are referring to a plant which is near to you, so it's hardly likely to be a million miles away.

    2) If you have some plant and it's infested with the Fergy, you can get a spray for it.

  3. Crapchester United is goin down, baby!

The (NFL) Browns beat the Steelers last night for the first time in a million years, so thats an omen.

I'm a fringe soccer fan and admittedly know very little about European football, but as a former athlete I can say that on any given day, anything can happen. How bad do they want it?

Shock the world baby, shock the world!

Nothing more danerous than a man who has nothing to lose.

    Manure is gonna get "Rick-rolled"!

    In a nutshell.
  4. If Milner hadn't passed back, if Friedel had got back to somewhere near his line (OK it would probably have gone in anyway)... we were on top of them FFS. And now we have a proper defence, a proper midfield and something very close to a proper attack. And Man Utd are struggling, in desperate trouble, a full 2 points below Chelsea. Some of them will be spluttering on their prawn sarnies screaming for Ferguson's head and threatening to become lifelong Blues. I can't see us allowing this to be a renaissance at Old Trafford. Away win.

  5. its OBVIOUSLY sarcasm, i'm shocked anyone feel the need to ask
Ah, so posting for effect then. Oh hang on. It's only posting for effect when a mod disagrees with it isn't it?

... creating points just to argue - say what you mean - not something that is intended to wind other people up. No Keyboard Warriors please.

  6. ... I don't think Petrov is a bad player it's just the way we use him that is the problem.

I think it's some of the posters having problems with Stan that is the problem.

That's right. And when we win it's because some of the people on a message board say nice things and when we win it's because some people on a message board say horrid things.
  7. And he never upsets MON either!

Whats that got to do with anything? I'd of thought the same applies for the vast majority of the squad.

Having said that an in the know poster on here as stated on a number of occasions that Mon and Petrov had a big falling out in the dressing room after the Stoke game towards the end of last season.

Sorry. No need to be so defensive. I thought I was stating a fact! I stand corrected! You see, one or two have suggested that NRC upset MON once. Had a little contretemps I believe.
  8. Well, it would seem that there are those who keep a close watch on Petrov for signs of him tiring after about, shall we say, an hour is it?

And there are those who like Arsene Wenger see nothing of this.

I guess we all see or (don't see) things differently.

  9. Half-time in the 2nd Division match between Las Palmas and Villarreal*. 0-0. But just before half-time (courtesy of Google on-line translation):

He concluded the first part in Gran Canaria Where there has been a goal despite good chances that had the whole canary, especially boots Guayre, who was very active, but unwise.
    *EDIT Villarreal B
  10. Let's say that the bottom 17 teams in the Spanish League and half the teams in the CL are crap, not a patch on Barça, Real Madrid, Man Und etc. Does that make the Spanish League and the CL boring? Do people really want a diet of:

EP: Chelsea v Arsenal, Chelsea v Man Utd, Arse v Man Utd...

CL: Chelsea v Real Madrid, AC Milan v Barça, Inter v Man Utd...

LL: Real Madrid v Barça, Barça v Real Madrid, Sevilla v Real Madrid...

all the time? Are these all good matches?

Are matches like Blackburn v Chelsea, Stoke v Hull, Espanyol v Valladolid, Rubin Kazan v Dynamo Kiev always boring?

  11. While in the 2nd Division Betis won a re-arranged fixture and moved into 4th place. I mention this because only a fortnight ago the natives were getting so restless that there was aggro at a training session. Now they'll no doubt be telling the world "We are the people" louder than anyone else.

Betis seem to have a hardcore of loafers and layabouts who go to every single training session and slag off the players every time everything isn't quite ticketyboo. They should be made to buy computers and form a site called BetisTalk instead.

  12. How is it possible in this day and age that even highlights from the match are nowhere to be found on the net? Are we that uninteresting?

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, it's a piss take!

And yet tonight the same thing is happening to followers of poor little... Chel$ki. The only one that matters is Man City v Arse apparently. Just as daft.
  13. Oh how I loved the good old days when there was:

    a) no extra time until the end of the first replay.

    B) no question of any penalty shootouts - ever.

    c) an unlimited number of replays (I remember waiting for ages with mummy in Kings Heath (she, daddy and I were going to go to the Kingsway cinema together) because daddy was late - he had skived off work that afternoon to go to Villa Park and see the 4th replay of some Chelsea v Burnley Cup Tie.

    d) a serious number of postponements.

    e) the pools panel was sitting.

Oh the joy of listening to "Winner of Walton and Hersham v Brighton and Hove Albion versus Winner of Scunthorpe and Lindsey United v Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic ... home win.·" The FA Cup draw used to be similar.

You could sidle off and do a poo and not miss much.

  14. I listened to the game on a radio link (not Jack) which was largely Pompey-orientated, so I found this particularly interesting:

As for the game, good performance, look dangerous going forward, Downing from the right offers alot. It's different to how Young plays, Downing cuts in but he plays inside too and drops deep for the ball and moves inside rather than staying wide, cutting back and crossing it, he drives infield with the ball, a very talented player.

I assume you aren't saying that Downing played generally on the right but when he did...

It seems as though when Downing is fully up and running we'll be giving the opposition a LOT more to think about.

I look forward to seeing how this works. 2 big quarter finals last night but as far as TV (and BBC Sport) were concerned only one, Manure v Spurs. The other might as well have been Solihull Moors v Lye Town.
