  1. Great match silenced their fans until they got a second goal.   I don't believe in conspiracies around reffing matches but yesterday's performance by both John Moss and the Trinity side linesman made me start to think maybe there is some truth in things being rigged to make a last day of the season special.

Sitting just behind the dug out it was obvious Stevie G was furious with some of the calls made by the officials.

I am wearing my Villa shirt with pride today in front of my mainly Liverpool supporting neighbors.

  2. I think Elmohamady  started like a player who had not played for months but improved through out the match.   Barkley was in effective, if I was Dean Smith (I am not)  he would not start the next match purely for what appeared petulant behavior at being subbed.  Did think the team improved after each substitution.

  3. I think Southgate should be banned from watching villa play.   Whenever he is there Jack does not seem to play his best.

42010 was an amazing turnout on a Monday night.   I thought the referee was better than we have had of late although from where I was in the lower Trinity Jack should not have had a yellow and they did not deserve the second yellow/red.

I had a look at a West Ham forum they seem to hate Mike Dean's but agree Noble was lucky with just one Yellow,

My man of the match was Engles not as in obvious as Ming's but not a lot gets pass him

  4. Not as good a game to watch as Tuesdays.  Loads of effort from Snodgrass but not much result.  Total opposite of Wellan who I thought Terry like in the way he was in the right place to casually stick a food on the ball with out lots of running.  First half very good and should have scored more.  Second half first 20 minutes awful as the tactics we're to launch high balls in the direction of Kodga.  Could see Kodgas quality but he is not a one man team.  Saw similar tactics with same results when Benteke played. Once he came off the passing game resumed. Was worried about left back posion seeing Tailor start but was fine.  He did seem more intent on attacking than defending though.  Several times Grabham appeared to be covering that position.  The important thing is they played as a team.

For the biggest disappointment was once again having a heated discussion with the carpark staff.   There seems to be a new company controlling the car park who jusify their role by causing problems so they can cure them.   As I travel with a disabled fan this is making me consider if it is worth attending games.

  5. I thought he did his job well last night,  was a breaking up the attacks of a team that play dirty and physical.   A few of his passes went way of target but so did nearly every other players.

  6. Hi lack of protection from the ref effected his game.  Continuously fouled by bennet smacked in the face and the Ref did nothing.  End of the game he was the only player that did not shake refs hand.

  7. Struggled to decide who I thought was man of the match had to start with who I thought did the least.  First on my list was Gardener would rather had Westwood.  Second was Ayue  never seemed to be in the correct position and did not know when to pass.  Have voted for Amarvi thought he played brilliantly both in defence and going forward.

  8. Struggled to decide who i thought man of the match should go to so many contenders to me the weakest player appeared to be Ayew   as he was constantly robbed of the ball.  Thought the ref must have come on the Cardiff coach he seemed blind to so many Cardiff fouls.    Could not see what happened with the first penalty shout were Gabby got himself carded, looking at the body language of some of the Cardiff players they thought it was a penalty.

  9. I was not at the game yesterday, friends  nephew went instead.   Had I been there I would not have booed players booing an individual player effects the whole team.  I personally am not sure what Westwood brings to the team, under Steve Bruce the team have 11 points from a possible 15, he chooses the team from the players he thinks have the best chance of allowing AVFC to win.  If Westwood is good enough for him then I am happy.

At the Fulham game I noticed when Westwood he came on he did not have many touches but he did a lot of pointing and organising, maybe this is what he brings to the game.

BOOING players because you dont like them undermines the whole team.

  10. May be the club could subsidise away fans,  is this allowed.  4000 supporters tenner a head how many players don't get paid for a week?     Every two weeks the worst performing  players don't get paid to subsidise the away fans.  The higher there wages the less need to go with out pay.

  11. Reminded me why I love watching football.    Struggling to think who I thought was MoM so many contenders..  Was surprised to see Lescot as captain but thought he took on that role brilliantly keeping the team organised.  They played as a team   individuals were visibly frustrated with themselves on occasion but not with each other.  They kept their shape and did not have have players getting way out of position as they tried to   win the game single handedly.

Loved the players throwing there shirts into the crowd at the end, how ever much that wins means to us as fans it means more to those players.

  12. I feel sorry for him first day at a new job and he hurts himself.      I just hope his contract is the same as new starters where I work, no sick pay for the first six months
