Seems pointless prolonging this. He won't be turning this around and suddenly making us a force in this division. He really should be sacked as soon as possible.

Rubbish, pathetic manager. Absolutely baffling that a squad with this much talent is playing with so much fear and so little freedom. Hard to believe he earns the money he does. Do one. 

How do you even get this bunch of players to perform so badly? Takes some doing. Just rubbish, needs to go. 

Pretty bizarre event all round. Still seems so weird seeing John Terry play for us.

Derby as a reasonably stable and organised side won't really have to do much more than stick to basics to beat us, unfortunately. We're just all over the place at the moment; formation and team changing every week. The only chance I think we have is it just being one of those games where it won't go in for Derby and we get a scrappy penalty or something. It's the only way I see us winning at the moment, sadly.

Has decent ability but can't imagine him ever really being a top, consistent player. Think the deal is fine, wouldn't have been too disappointed with just 5 million alone, He's just a bit nothingy here. So not too bothered all in all. 

Barnsley have just confirmed the signing of Matty James, so I guess Hourihane will go through now.

So apparently if a player is contracted you have to stick by him, even if he's under performing and persist in playing him every week. Oh right, that's a new one.

As I said, i have no problem with what people will expect from a player to see Aston Villa achieve. I've said that I believe how he acted stinks and it depresses me. I never said you can't think the way you do about Delph. It's a difference in how we feel about the way we see our club and its players.

So basically, a player can treat the club like a piece of shit. Dupe the supporters purely to suit his own ego as captain fantastic and you'd all welcome him back on the basis that if his isn't injured he would improve our midfield, which isn't difficult, next door's cat could do that. I genuinely don't understand, after the reception he's had, the images he posted of the 'snake on the plane', with his smug face. The fact that we stuck by him through his serious injuries, played horrendous for us for ages, turned him into an international and he **** us all over at the first slight opportunity, knowing he was going to a club who had no real interest in improving his career but just needed a homegrown player.

Everyone is absolutely entitled to what they feel can improve Aston Villa but it's about morals for me. The guy is a weasel of the highest order. It would never happen. He'll end up at a club like Watford, which is about his level (unfortunately higher than ours) but i would be very, very saddened to see him in a Villa shirt again. My opinion of course, but man, it would be depressing as **** as a proud supporter.
