Richard I wad thinking similar last night. Under a new manager you tend to see a team pick up. I would say the opposite has happened.

Atm we're 10th, we win tomorrow night we're 13 points away from the magic '40' mark.

I think when we win tomorrow night, it will set us up nicely for the next few games.

We could be over 40 points in like 6 games time.

I recently read about how the Argentine league is calculated on the teams average over 3 seasons (promoted teams by the amount of seasons they have been in the league e.g west ham 2 seasons, palace 1 season) and the average points per game makes up the league.

The thought behind it was to ensure that the 'big' clubs did not get relegated.

I then thought how would the Premier league look on this principle. The table below would be the standings after 22 games this season.
