They play for Man. United from what I've seen.

People like Andre Green and Hepburn Murphy have barely played any minutes in senior football, we haven't loaned them out anywhere so I wouldn't go overboard yet.

We should certainly be expecting big things from Grealish next season though.

The positive on this is that we have young hungry players that have good potential under a good manager.

    Remember to keep it positive.

I'd piss myself if he failed the fit and proper persons test. That would be just typical of Villa this year and top off a purely wonderful season

And you call yourself a Villa fan, shame on you wanting negative things to happen!

  3. FFS Villa fans, why do people have to always look on the negative side. We at last have an owner who seems ambitious, if he delivers half of what he is saying, it will be a vast improvement on the last idiot.

When dodgy Roman bought Chelsea and oil bought Shitty, their fans lapped it up.

The media hate us and want to be negative, don't fall for it, Remain curious people and prepare for one hell of a ride.

  4. He's just incompetent, never won a game as a stand in manager before. But maybe tbe club is alienating some players who perhaps don't have relegation clauses in their contracts to force them to want to move.

People do realise that Ellison is not buying us yes?

Why would one of the richest people alive need a consortium?

Regardless that he's mega rich doesn't mean he'll spend it all on buying Messi for the Villa, Lerner has plenty doesn't spend a penny on us anymore does he.

Think it is Ellison buying us in a consortium, Doug Ellis's Son.

  6. I'm still firmly in the "don't believe the bullshit" camp. Far too convenient that following such a turbulent week and a home game coming up that all of a sudden we have takeover rumours to "cheer" people up and deflect criticism from Lerner.

    Seeing is believing!

  7. I think fan ownership would be interesting, i would stump up as much spare cash as i had to buy a few shares. If every fan did this plus a few rich fans buying significant stakes we could raise enough to buy Lerner out.

I would then keep Hollis as i think he is doing a decent job in the circumstances trying to make the club a more professional business and bring back Bernstein and King to the football board.

We might not get back to the PL at first attempt but would put us on a solid footing to get further investment and push on. Oh and we'd be shot of Lerner !

  8. If anyone thinks that their resignation is anything more to do than Lerner interfering and not wanting the manager they recommend then they need to get real. Lerner has a history of interfering. Remember Richard Fitzgerald's brief stint as CEO. Remember why MON left, all due to lerner interfering.

And we've had countless rumours of takeovers before only to realise it is just well timed PR bullshit.

It's purely Randy showing everyone it is still his toy box and he will play with it when he wants and not let anyone else play with it, spoilt tw*t he is.

    I'd go:

    ------------------Guzan--------------------

    --Richards--Okore---Clark----Cissokho---

    ------------Gana------Lyden---------

    ---Traore------Grealish------Green------

    ------------------Ayew-------------------

You would have to live in a mental instituion to ever play Guzan and Richards in the same team again.

  10. We have better players this season, more experience and greater squad depth, yet our results have not changed. He can't blame the side for being too young. He can't blame his back room for bullying and disrupting the team. He can't blame Faulkner.

Common denominator is Lambert. No more excuses with mumbles. The buck stops with him. He sets the tactics. He sets the tempo. He choses which players to pick. He choses not to make substitutions. He choses not to change tactics during a game. He choses to recall from loan a young striker on form and not play him for a single minute then send him back on loan when we have no back up.

He clearly has run out of ideas. He has broken almost every club record and wouldn't suprise me if beats this by overseeing a record loss to Chelsea on saturday of 9 nil. He is well on the way to the fewest goals scored in a season (36) and will probably relegate us for the first time in the Premier League.

I hope Tom Fox is prepared for the heat he will get at the Villa Trust AGM on the 19th Feb, we could well be in the relegation zone by then. Or maybe he is waiting until after the Hull game to sack Lambert and be seen as a hero, we can all but hope.
