Seems like a game of chicken, who will blink first? We are being linked with other wingers, they are stating they will play him. Something surely will happen this week (hopefully)!

It's time to wrap this up. The longer it goes on the more likely someone else will come in for him, which according to some is what Weder want. I could see  Man United enquiring if Sancho is off the table. Let's hope we get movement this week .

I agree, Liverpool are linked with Sarr who would seem to cost £40m and recently Jota from Wolves. I have seen plenty of fans saying they should be looking at Rashica for half the price particularly seeing as they seem to sell to buy.

He could already be done by now, maybe just announcing late to mess with Wilder's match plan.

Why not? Jack has hust been given £140k a week if reports are to be believed. That will be the yardstick used in all future contract negotiations.

Or his increase in wages would put City off. Let's say he was £25k a week at City, signing for us he is maybe on £40k? City may see him as a £40k a week signing but if we up him to £100k or so they may have seconds thoughts.

While nice in theory, the club have shown with the sacking of Suso that it isn't necessarily the case.

As for Traore himself, the more I read on him the more I like. If you imagine Lange's brief was a left footed, pacy inside forward, playing at a high level and less than £20m he certainly fits the bill. The caveat is of he is in addition to Rashica and not instead of.

I read on Twitter that Traore is a Lange signing whereas Rashica is a Smith one. Not sure how true that is, but could explain how this one has appeared out of nowhere when Rashica is said to have been considered last window.

No Tammy tonight and thats before Ziyech and Pulisic are fit.

Like others i am unsure, have concerns about the general opinion of him. To put the fee into context its about what we were expected to pay for Josh King, which may make it a bit more palatable.

Not saying I belive the Lyon fans hence why I said "if". Obviously it's the recruitment team's job to find out for definite then weigh that up with all the other factors (cost, alternatives etc.) to decide whether he is worth pursuing or not.

It's more concerning the Lyon fans seem to think he isnt worth the money we are apparently offering.

If he genuinely has an attitude problem it could be a non starter. I thought the new regime made signing players with a good character a priority. 

Pace can easily be guarded against by defending deep and putting men behind the ball. If we are solely relying on pace to beat teams we will come unstuck. Assuming Rashica is on one wing we can afford the other to be more creative particularly if it's some one like Buendia. Although he, like Jack, isn't lightning quick they can still beat a man when required as well as having the passing in his locker.
