  1. I thought it was strange that the scrum half claimed that Healy had bitten him, then at half time back tracked and said he was not sure if it was an accident.  Then after the game Western Force said they wanted it left on the pitch.  In my opinion from watching it a few times, the Western Force pushed his fore arm in Healy's face, reacted as if he was bitten.  Realised he had made a stupid claim and tied to back out.  But I am a Healy fan so could just be biased.

Great news for Corbs. Fully deserved. Should've been on the plane in the first place. Think he'll be pushing for a test spot

Just out of interest which prop would you have dropped from the squad to have him in the plane in the first place?
Tough call when you put it like that. If pushed I'd have to say Vunipola, due to his lack of experience. Geth didn't have the best of seasons either though to be fair.

If it was really down to me then it would be Healy so I didn't have to support a team with him in it haha.

I would have brought Vunipola as I think there should be a few young players who have the ability to shine, like Wallace on the 97 tour.  I had hoped Gatland had gone for Wade from Wasp's as he has so much raw ability and pace which worries defences.  Think Gatland brought too many big wingers and should of of mixed it up a bit.

  3. I think Geth was lucky as he has not been first choice for Toulon all season and been injured, think he got the nod as Gatland really rates him and one game against England!.

I never get the Healy hating, I would support a team with Hartley or Lawes if they were both on the tour.  Every forward has been done in the past for "agressive rucking" you don't get many saints who play in the pack.  Also up front it is quite confrontational and it can spill over from time to time, lot's of players live close to the edge and step over it.  Biting and gouging are beyond the pale, I have been bitten and it is shocking.

  4. Think Grant is unlucky had a great 6 nations, Corbsieiro is a very good player but has been injured and only really had two games back.  But then you could say the same for O Connell, Lydiate eyc.  Gatland did say he was going to pick on form but then put some players in who have not played much due to injury.  Think props are where we have some real depth and could be a major advantage with players coming off the bench to make an impact.  Can you imagine Vinni coming on after 60 minutes, he will make yards from fun.

  5. If Healy did bite then he should be banned, it is just an allegation at the moment.

I thought O' Brien played well , showed some nice off loading, Heaslip put insome big carries.  Think North, Sexton and Halfpenny have the test spots to lose.

    can't wait for Saturday.

Can't see either as Cole is poor in the scrum and Gatland loves Adam Jones, Farrell may get in if Sexton gets injured just before kick off and they can't get a replacement.

Not sure Healy is that bad apart from trying to ruck Dan Cole out of a ruck after he had brought down a driving maul.

If your going to rule out every player who has had a small misdemeanour than most of the side would be missing.

Cole is poor in the scrum?!? My friend, you are talking absolute horseshit. Healy trying to ruck him? Don't get me started on that. Just plain wrong. Must be an English thing...

See this is what **** me off. You can't seem to have a reasonable/subjective debate with a large proportion of (NOTE: not all) Welsh and/or Irish rugby fans without anti-English blinkers coming on.

Of course, all English players are shit. We're not allowed to mention beating New Zealand as it was a "one-off" but at the same time, a performance in one game can be cited for why Wales are awesome (I forget the last time Ireland had an exceptional performance).  They were utter shit for a year prior to that, getting beaten and outclassed at home by Samoa no less. We have to discount recent history/form against SH nations when it comes to England do we?

I don't think Farrell is better than Sexton but he's not a bad player like some are suggesting. Yes, he was outplayed by Wilkinson in the semi, but that discounts the fact that Sarries made it to the semis with him in the team and finished top of the premiership. Let's not forget, he's only 21. All young players will have a few stinkers here and there. Anyone who suggests Farrell was average against the All Blacks is being disingenuous or wasn't watching the game. Maybe watching Wales lose to Australia, again? ;)

Last time Ireland were exceptional, maybe when England rocked up to win the grand slam in Dublin 2011.

  7. Cole got done in the scrum against Wales and Ireland, he is not great in the scrum, decent around the park.  No chance of him getting in ahead of Adam Jones.  Not Anti English picked at least three English  players who should of made the tour Morgan, Wade and Launchbury.

Just bored by the Healy haters, he put his boot on a player killing the ball.  I watched that game in an English rugby club house and the guy next to me said well Cole was killing the ball.  Healy is a quality player.

  8. I doubt Cole holds any ill will over it, he tried to kill the ball Healy used his boot on him, all water under the bridge.  What happens on the pitch in rugby stays on the pitch, player's tend not to hold too may grudges.  Farrell against Brits for example, Farrell knew he should of not held onto his shirt, Brits hit him, bit of a scuffle but Farrell and Brits are friends again.

I'd be stunned if Brian O'Driscoll didn't start alongside Roberts. I think it'll be

Healy, Best, Jones, O'Connell, A W Jones, O' Brien, Warbuton, Heaslip, Phillips, Sexton, Roberts, O'Driscoll, North, Halfpenny, Cuthbert.

Jenkins may start ahead of Healy with Hibbard possibly starting instead of Best.

The side will be dominated by Wales and Ireland I'm sure, simply because the best players for those positions happen to play for those 2 countries.

You do know the team was named yesterday, right?

    Not the starting test team.

  11. I am really struggling to see an English starter in the test team, maybe hooker?.  Few on the bench maybe.  My starting team at the moment would be Healy, Best, Jones, Connell, A W Jones, O' Brien, Warbuton, Heaslip Phillips, Sexton, roberts, Davies, North Halfpenny, Bowe.

It can all change, if some players have some big games!

I would of liked to see Ben Morgan of England go as he always makes yards.

  12. He was more than 'average' against New Zealand and he out kicked Sexton in the 6 nations in all areas. I still think Toby Flood is a better player though.

And going back to that 'because he's English' thing is ridiculous. Gatland, being the Welsh coach has chosen plenty of Welsh players who are less deserving than others, plenty of bias there.

Thanks for backing me up, Gatland did pick too many welsh players so had to up the number of English or he would have been killed by the media, Farrell was lucky.

  13. He was average against New Zealand, England got the upper hand up front and NZ were poor.  He was awful against Toulon.  He is a limited player who kicks goals.  How was he against Wales?

Gatland had to get some more English players into the squad and Farrell was lucky.  Hook or Maddigan should of went ahhead of him.

Game of Thrones series 3 episode 3

Am i the only one who felt sorry for jamie Lannister i know the guy is a prick but he could have easily let bryenne get raped but he opened his mouth and got punished also WTF was up with the ending music? it was just wrong

It's something I've noticed HBO shows have a tendency of doing. Cliffhanger ending followed by smash cut to black with a cheesy punk rock-ish cover of an otherwise non-punk rockish song. They've done it for episodes of True Blood, Entourage and now GoT

I think it is a song from the book

the song halfway through was from the book, the song at the end must have come from a different show!

it is the bear and maiden fair from the book done by a punk band
