Don't see the issue here. Yes he saved us from relegation and for that I'm grateful but now he's an expensive benchwarmer. Unfortunately for Darren we signed this bloke called Benteke who turned out to be amazing and it doesn't make sense to keep one of our highest earners as cover.

I'm sure if he was on 20 - 30k and Bent wasn't desperate for first team football then we would be keeping him.

Exactly, his wages are just too high for us. we have better options for cheap although he is still a great player.

is benteke injured or was he just shaken up? is he playing tomorrow against crewe?

I reckon 2 points in the first 3 games would be great. Draws against liverpool and arsenal
