Yes please. It's always been a 'what if' in regards to GH. And hearing Cabaye was on his radar, with him quite possibly choosing us over Newcastle at time, would not turn my nose up at him being a DOF if that's the calibre of player being sought out.

I know him in real-life, kind of. He's hit and miss about things.

Or Clark. I'm a fan of his but having to play any sort of consecutive games as a CM doesn't fill me with the greatest confidence. Really do hope Eck surprises us, but my gut feeling says he won't.

Bent will no doubt want the oppurtunity to improve his goal tally, N'Zogbia is still getting to grips with the team and is a bit behind the others in terms of fitness and Dunne is the experience needed at the back.

As someone said earlier, knowing us we'd get rid of him and not get anyone in to replace him. Then be extremely light in midfield once more. Not to tempt fate but if Delph picks up a knock or gets burnt out, and Petrov starts to suffer, we'll end up with Bannan and Clark, even Gardner, being relied on to play the 2 CM's and I wouldn't be confident with that. I know alot of things have to happen for this to be a possibility, but it wouldn't take much really.

Care to shed some light John because i've not got a clue why he's not getting game time. And wages, can't see him being on more than 35k-40k.

James Nursery has been asked questions in regards to the article, he's said he asked Eck directly about Makoun and that was his response.

Really don't get this. Granted he hasn't set the place alight, he's not the type to do that anyway, but he is without a doubt a classy midfielder and we'd be mad to ship him out.

I agree, though he didn't see as much of the ball in the 2nd half. But impressed still by him, thought he complimented Petrov well today.

I recently received one of the new Villa 'Collegiate' style hoodies for my birthday on July 24th, from a friend who had it delivered to me. Couple of days later I noticed a fault on a button. So I sent it back through the mail using the Collect+ service AVFC are linked to. Anyway I had my new, non-fault hoodie delivered this morning! Just like to commend the service, quickness and efficiency in the whole process. And as a side note, it's a really smart hoodie too, big fan of the Collegiate take on it.

Wrong place to say it but being as though he's been mentioned on here, IF Barton did come here, then he's an option for right midfield if Albrighton doesn't deliver, gets injured, burns out, etc. Not an out and out winger obviously but didnt do too bad on the right last season. I'd take him on a free.
