I think he'd play out wide here tbh, too much of a risk ot have him as senior striker in premier league. We've gambled massively in that position in last decade and it's not really worked out well.

Definitely the best option for both parties with maybe the view to him being moved more central once he's got some decent prem time under his belt. Cant really see him being against that either.

No we shouldn't, the club was overstaffed for the Premier League, let alone the Championship. But we should give them a bloody decent redundancy.

agreed, as horrible as it is, they are not going to be needed to work at games that are expected to drum up our lowest average attendance in history throughout next season

I think either RDM or Pearson would be good appointments, im slighting veering towards Pearson because he has had more recent championship experience. but RDM I would be happy with as well. Shame we don't seem to be interested i n Rowett Id be very happy with him

Pearsons reported to be turning us down aint he? Would love RDM though

I tried a career with Villa again. First 8 games of the season I went 3 wins 5 losses and 0 draws. It was enough to keep me above the relegation spots, but then talks of a villa take over started happening and apparently the new owners wanted Person. I said f it and started playing my younger fringe players like Gil, Traore, Bacuna, Ayew, Okore, Ayala, and Grealish every match and suddenly I am in the hunt for champs league come January.

I've been alternating between a 4-2-2-2 DM and a 4-2-3-1 DM. I beat Chelsea at home, and City away from home. Not really sure what is going on, but the take over happened, the new owners gave me a 4 year deal, and gave me 40 million to spend. Not sure who to buy. Bacuna has been a beast at right back for me. He is one of the best ratings wise in the league for that spot. Ayew is doing well at striker with 11 goals, but Gestede, Lafata, and Agbonlahor have 6 goals between them in 5 months. Midfield is my strong point. Grealish hasn't been spectacular, but he is developing better than Veretout as an attacking mid. Sinclair and Traore are goal and assist machines. Gana and Westwood are locking the midfield down, and I have Jermaine Jones on a free signing as good cover.

I think I should buy a new keeper (Guzan is alright, but could be better), a winger so I don't have to play Sinclair every match, and probably a striker so Ayew isn't my only goal threat.

Careful, Bacuna might put in a request to move to a Champions League team if this carries on.

I may be wrong, but perhaps a lot comes down to cost at the end of the day, plus the need to satisfy multiple teams using template designs.

@NurembergVillan is the authority on sports wear so may shed some insight on the design process.

I work for Macron in Birmingham as a graphic designer and flew out to Bologna last year to meet the kit designers.

As far as the design process goes, macron would have designed templates for the kits, based on heavy input from the club. There are boundaries set by the club that macron had to follow, like no hoops, no certain colours or had to resemble a previous kit worn in the 80's etc. Which means that as previously said by someone else on this thread, other teams like lazio may have had a nicer kit that looked totally different to ours, which was out of the control of macron. They are actually quite limited to what they could have produced. They had more say over Villas leasure-wear than the kit itself but still was heavily influenced by Villa.

Villa didnt want the kits to change too drastically, They wanted it to kinda fit in with the heritage of the club and be somehing they knew would sell and didn't look to weird or too much of a European style.

Having said that they definitely could of worked on kit quality!

I don't think they want to pressure him by chucking him on and expecting him to salvage a game for us, so they're waiting for more opportune time when we're not in the doldrums. Not bad thinking, if you ask me.

Wasn't Rooney* was 16 when he burst onto the scene and came off the bench and scored the winner for Everton vs Arsenal. The point being if your good enough your old enough.

Apart from playing Hull and Norwich (since February) we haven't dominated a game and looked comfortable. If we wait for a time when we're not in the doldrums under Lamber Grealish might find he doesn't get a game until he's in his 30's!

    * I'm not suggesting Grealish will be as good as Rooney!

We can't possibly know if he's good enough right now.  Perhaps that's why he makes squads but not first teams, eh?

Surely he has to be more effective on the wings than either Agbonlahor or Weimann??? Its not even their natural positions and if they can keep him out the team then he must be dire. Either that or Lambert doesnt have the balls to wack him on whilst and risk another loss whilst the fans are against him.

  8. I love westy as a player and I can understand why some would hate on him whereas others see his consistent side. I think the thing that makes him look bad is his playing position, CDM is never a fashionable position to be playing and only the worldies of the prem are the ones who take the plaudits.... oh and the fact hes in the villa team makes him look a lot worse of a player than what I believe he actually is.

On a Newcastle forum a couple have suggested getting Beardsley in as manager, or Tim Sherwood because he is like Kevin Keegan, with les Ferdinand as assistant, and then giving them a budget of £100 million for players, with £20million earmarked for lavezzi.

    Wow.

Hahahah. The manager list is bonkers enough but Lavezzi at Newcastle? More chance of my balls bouncing off Beyonce's arse than Lavezzi at Newcastle.

  10. Good news. I hope we don't rush him back though. Thankfully Vlaar and Clark have been pretty solid for us so far this season, it's Baker that's the weak link.

    Don't forget about Tony

  11. I do think people at English grounds tend to be more interested in the actual game and the dynamics of it. Palace are the only team here who's fans chant throughout.

I agree some Italian grounds can be bad along with Spanish.

Palace had to sing all game to make up for their 10 strong turnout of fans that come to vp boxing day
