  1. I've been using this http://www.buytickets.chilternrailways.co.uk/ticketmatrix.aspx?Command=TimeTable

Looking at the super off peak return £39, but i'd like an open ended ticket if possible!

I'll say again. A super Off Peak Return is valid at ANYTIME on the Saturday or Sunday. This is a FACT. I have just looked again and the cheapest return on Sunday with Chiltern is £19.50. You have to leave from Snow Hill and Marylebone but you can get whatever train you want as it is a weekend and all tickets are valid as someone said earlier in the thread.

This will work best for people who are travelling over the weekend only. If you are travelling back on the Monday then you'll have to get the specific trains.

If you get the 8:40 from Snow Hill then you can be at Wembley Station by 11:05 :D

  2. Chiltern Railway: B'ham (Snow Hill or Moor Street >> Marylebone)

Super Off Peak RTN - Circa £21

As its weekend it classes as off peak so you are not restricted to any strict times. You may have to gte into London anytime after 1.30pm but thats fine (if you go on the saturday) then you can come back anytime you wnat. The ticket is also valid for a month so you can return home anytime within a month.

If we win the cup I may well spend the next few weeks celebrating in London!!

Can't believe there's not more people catching on to this! If you go on Sunday then it's currently £19 return. Leave anytime, come back anytime!! £12 with a railcard. It's £23 if you want London travel included. London Marylebone is on the same line as Wembley Underground and takes about 20 mins. However, the main line takes about 8 minutes and I'm guessing they'd have them running every 20 minutes on the Sunday.

  3. Quick bit of info. Chiltern Railways currently have return to London for £19.50 or £23.50 including London travel. This leaves brum at 8.40 and gets in at quarter to 11 and leaves at 7 and back by 9.

All other trains have sold out advance tickets and it looks like £69 is the cheapest return on the trains.

Cheap options on coach but takes twice as long. Hope this helps.

  4. on't really get that old italian golfer one though

The 118 yearold guy got the young bird preggers

    explain....

I would if I could remember the joke, how far back have you gone ferfucksake? :-)

An 80-year-old Italian goes to the doctor for a check-up. The doctor is amazed at what good shape the guy is in and asks, "How do you stay in such great physical condition?"

"I'm Italian and I am a golfer," says the old guy, "and that's why I'm in such good shape. I'm up well before daylight and out golfing up and down the fairways. I have a glass of vino and all is well."

"Well," says the doctor, "I'm sure that helps, but there's got to be more to it. How old was your dad when he died?" "Who said my dad's dead?"

The doctor is amazed. "You mean you're 80 years old and your dad's still alive. How old is he?" "He's 100 years old," says the old Italian golfer. "In fact he golfed with me this morning, and then we went to the topless beach for a walk and had a little vino and that's why he's still alive".

He's Italian and he's a golfer, too?" the doctor says, "Well, that's great, but I'm sure there's more to it than that. How about your dad's dad? How old was he when he died?"

"Who said my grandpa's dead?" Stunned, the doctor asks, "You mean you're 80 years old and your grandfather's still living!? Incredible, how old is he?" "He's 118 years old," says the old Italian golfer.

The doctor is getting frustrated at this point, "So, I guess he went golfing with you this morning too?" "No. Grandpa couldn't go this morning because he's getting married today." At this point the doctor is close to losing it. "Getting married! Why would a 118 year old guy want to get married?" "Who said he wanted to?"

  5. Hi General,

this is my first post to you and I just want to echo what everyone has said and say that you and the board are doing a fantastic job at the moment. So proud to be a villa fan, long may it continue!

Just a quick question, I'm a ST holder but when trying to buy additional tickets on the official website I am not able to choose under 21 or student tickets? Is there a reason for this as this was possible last season. The system also denies you from searching for an exact seat, something that you were also allowed to do last season. Could you look into this for us??

    Many thanks General!
