I'm sorry I'm not that much into your squad.. but I noticed nobody is mentioning Darren Bent..
maybe its a silly question but isn't he your targetman? or is he one of the guys playing out wide. -
I really don't think its a good idea putting the pressure on Helenius of making him main target in his first season.
He is a 2million prospect signing.. not a guy who should carry a Premier League side right away.
Its all so new and big to him, he is a from a small city in Jutland, Denmark
If you don't get another striker and Helenius doesn't score the first 3-4 matches.. it might completely destroy his confidence -
Hardly ever is an understatement.. I think he scored 1 header for Aab.. out of all his goals. and he was the one most surprised.
but Aab has a really good coaching staff in Kent Nielsen and Allan Kuhn,
Allan Kuhn was Manager for Aab when we played 2-2 vs. Manchester United at Old Trafford, he wanted to focus on family or something and after a few years Managing other clubshe wanted to go back to Aab to be assistant
Anyways!!.. He wrote on twitter the day Helenius was sold:
Sådan @NicklasHelenius, super fortjent kontrakt med Villa, godt vi fik styr på venstrebenet og hovedspillet...
'Way to Go NicklasHelenius, Deserved contract with Villa, a good thing we got that Left kick and your heading under control'
-
If the Helenius song 'We love to fight and do Cocain.. and Niiiiiiiiiicklas Helenius' which he had in Aalborg is a bit too crude
how about this one.. Aab some years back had an American.. and he was really a shy, quiet guy.. and whenever he scored the crowd would sing, this song (changed name to Nicklas)
to the chorus of:
'Pet Shop Boys - Go West'
NICKLAAAAAAAS!!!!!.... Is getting laid tonight
NICKLAAAAAAAS!!!!!.... Is getting laid tonight- 1

Does anyone know if Helenius is fighting and doing cocain today ?

When Nicklas writes 'bad at english' he is comparing himself to other danes.
I'm 29 and have been to most countries in Europe at some point.
And I feel comfortable saying we danes probably speak the best english (not counting countries where english is the native tongue)
in fact, most under 50 are fluent, and most under 30 would be able to adapt a british accent in a matter of months.
The worst english speaking dane is still better than any french, spanish, italian guy.
@adz.villa ..
You can take the 'We love to fight and do cocain... and NICKLAS HELENIUS' away as his songbut you can never take away the way he stupidly snorts everytime he speaks, which I personally believe is the reason he got that song to begin with.

From his twitter after the game:
"Hello evrybody, sorry for mi bad english. Thanks for all the good words and congrats;). Hopefully i Can keep that up, and be even better;)"
-
well that might be true, but Helenius has had many Clubs after him.. sporting Lissabon, Ajax to mention two.
Lissabon made an offer Helenius turned Down.
even if he does fail in Villa, you can't take away his 2 seasons in Aalborg as a topscorer or the fact that he has been on the national team.
that alone would make him attractive to any Danish Club.
we see that a few times in the Danish League, some great player leaves for a big Club, doesn't get to play a lot and then returns to the highest bidder in the Danish League.
-
A problem I also see, is the fact that with that pricetag, Cornelius is bought to be a starter.
a 20-year-old kid coming from a much inferior League.. thats a gamble having him as a starter.
Helenius will have some time to grow into his role..
He won't need to deliver from the first game, but can get the 10/15minutes now and then as he should the first 2 months.
How any player should be established.
and with Helenius' pricetag.. I Mean its practically impossible to lose Money on him.. even if he doesn't score a single goal in 2 years..
he will still only be 24 with Premier League experience.. getting 1.5mill for him won't be a problem.

Guys you have to remember a few details when dreaming about Cornelius
FCK is the PSG of Denmark, by far the richest and biggest Club in all of Scandinavia
Aab is near bankruptCornelius plays with the best and most expensive players in the League
Aab has 0 non Danish players, and has managed to set a League record in age of starting 11s
I believe at one point this year it was 21.5, most of all these players are homegrown.
Cornelius has scored 18 goals and made 1 assists = 19
Helenius has scored 16 goals and made 7 assists. = 23, making him the player in the League involved in most goals. "2 years in a row!!"
Helenius has proved himself able to not only score but be League topscorer(when counting assists) 2 years in a row with a team consisting primarily of 18-year-oldtalents cause Aab can't afford to buy players, and Aab still managed to get a Fifth spot and going to Europa because we do produce exceptionel talents
We sold a 17-year-old kid to Ajax Amsterdam last year, and an 18-year-old defender to Juventus, last week we just pulled 4x 18-year-olds to the first squad
Cornelius has played with an established Champions League team, one season!..
I'm just saying the 1.5mill vs. 7.5mill, in my opinion should probably be more like
3mill vs. 5mill

however silly Bendtner is.. I would gladly have my team pay 2mill to sign him
As far as I remember his goals per. minute rate for arsenal is ridciously good..
And as a dane you never give up on Bendtner.. cause he did stuff like this on the national team
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyB9fDAKBbI
He was a big reason we ended no. 1 in the euro qualifications ahead of Portugal, and why we had some great games
in 'the Group of death' where we won 1-0 against fan favourites Holland
-
Well we have a twisted sense of humour in Denmark aswell.. just like we danes know you have.
I dont think most Aalborg fans do fight and take cocain, and I dont think the opposing teams think we do
I personally love the silly twist on it, and it really does show just how much you love Helenius

Says he officially signed a 3 years deal.. just now on a danish paper
You see that's where we differ from most clubs - our attention to detail, ensuring our players sign deals on specific paper from their own country.
no no.. he signed the deal, not you.. you would probably offer him the sun... I wonder if he has to pay to get them delivered each day.

just for inspiration on Helenius(from a danish fan)
posted this in his thread, but here seems the proper place:
I know you are gonna want to make your own song for Helenius of course. But his current one is so absurd I wanted to tell it.
Dont ask me how he got this one, but its sung when he scores.it goes to the 'y viva espana'
26 seconds into this clip: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=W7aPp-4z-uwand the lyrics go 'We love to fight and do cocain... and Niiiiiiiicklas Helenius'

3 years deal is a good way to go at it.. he will have 2 years to prove himself an investment.
if he doesn't make it in those 2 years, he could be sold to another club in a lesser league probably without any loss

hey Guys another Aab fan here..
I dont see how this deal won't go through4 years ago we played champions League. we played 2-2 at old Trafford
beat Manchester City 2-0, deportivo la caruna 6-1 and celtic 3-1.
we were even linked in papers with former most expensive player in the World, denilson.
last year we were almost bankrupt. our entire Club shares the value of a new Volvo today.
thats how it goes in sports and economy, we need to sell Helenius. Not because we need the Money right now, but because if he went away on a free transfer NeXT year
that would be a massive, really massive blow to our Club.
So it might seem weird if the hold up is a matter of 200-300k difference.
But to Aab 200k is a lot of Money.
so back to the player. No other Aab fan mentioned this I see.Helenius kicks like Drogba, I don't know the English expression for this kick, but I guess its 'with the inside'. his shot bends a lot,
He is to my knowledge the only one in our League who does that. It makes his shots unpredictable, and feared by goalkeepers in the League.
Funny side info on Helenius.
I know you are gonna want to make your own song for Helenius of course. But his current one is so absurd I wanted to tell it.

and now I have a question for you, why the hell does every English forum automatically capitalize when you write 'who'
do you really talk that much about the organization?

29-year-old Aab fan from Denmark here..
I'm here mostly because its interesting to see how a Danish talent from my team can develop in a bigger League
but also because I love to discuss football.
And honestly I don't cheer for a specific English team, in fact I only really cheer for Aab, in my own opinion you can only 'really' be fan of one teamI just like to go where the action is, read opinions and give my own.

Actually I think a lot of people are thinking too little of his physics.
He is big.. and he knows how to use his arms.. in the danish league (which of course is a lesser league)
He still had to pass players like Jores Okore(who is a beast by the way) on a daily basis.. and Helenius played alone on top.
One of his abilities was getting past 2-3 defenders and creating chances out of nothing.
