And promised further investment, chunky envelopes, all expenses trips, and private flights to anyone that matters.
There's no way these charges are sticking, and it's not because they're innocent.
There is no way to unwind what they've done, and if they get away with it, Newcastle will very shortly follow suit.
There will definitely be some punishment, but it’ll be a relative slap on the wrists which is pre-agreed with the owners to avoid any embarrassment.
Transfer ban for a window or 2, points deduction greater than 10 but far less severe than it should be.
It’ll be a record, but also won’t do that much harm either.
Maybe in return for not appealing, rules on FFP will be relaxed going forwards.

The City owners have probably saved the UK government hundreds of millions by redeveloping large parts of Manchester.

Just make legal fees fall under FFP problem solved
and the risk of a failed appeal extremely severe.

I didn't expect praise from that confession thank you
The perfect crime, because nobody is going to report a pen stolen if they stole it themself

I used to pick pocket other people when I was at school - A decent Parker pen was a good £5 on the streets, but it was amazing how many other kids used to have some serious cash on 'em. Not cool looking back, very regretful behaviour.
I remember back in the day there was a roaring trade in parker pens at my school too, but people were mainly nicking them from shops to sell at school.
I like your ingenuity stealing a probably stolen pen to resell. Very clever.

To say she isn't attractive is something I never though I'd read on the internet
I don’t think anyone said that.

Man City have a crack team of lawyers, a lot better than Sky Sports, TNT Sports etc. Man City have unlimited money.
Just a threat of being involved in a lawsuit, costing millions would be more than enough for bosses to ensure it is not mentioned; at all.
Sad state of affairs
Paddy Power don’t seem to be scared of them. I wonder if they will get a threatening letter.

Is 3 big jobs available in Italy. Napoli, Milan and Juve and he played for 2 of them. Bologna in Champions League might tempt him and has good owners
Fair point, but with those vacancies why not announce him right away? That’s my thinking behind the link to United.
-
De Zerbi 100% has something lined up. Nobody walks away from multi-million pounds PL contracts unless they have something more lucrative to go to.
My guess is Man United, and it hasn’t been announced yet for obvious reasons.

When I was teenager they built a big dual carriageway through the town. Before it was opened the local scallywags used to go over and steal all the cats eyes from the middle of the road. People had hundreds and hundreds of them.
I bet it pissed the builders off so much.

The Taylor Swift hype is weird, because she’s not a very good singer at all (away from auto-tune). She doesn’t really dance either. Not especially pretty or sexy (cos sex sells of course).
She absolutely fleeces her fans of outrageous sums of money for the same songs over and over again. Concert tickets highest ever in history.
Then even when she’s not touring she’s zig zagging all over America in her private jet.
But the media love her

I don't think they are going to get a severe penalty as some on here think. A hefty fine and at worst a transfer ban for a couple of windows.
You might be right, but I think Pep is keeping an eye on it. Does he want to be dragged into court or have all his “books” opened for the general public to see his finances?
Transfer ban and fine sounds realistic to me. Maybe a European ban if they can make it stick also. Plus maybe 20 or 30 point deduction. Something that won’t relegate them.

I’m a massive Oasis fan, but the continuous rolling out of Noel Gallagher every time they win something is **** annoying. He adds absolutely nothing.
-
I reckon he’s keeping a close eye on the shit storm of the 115 charges on the horizon.

I know the story will be patchy, but did you think it was odd that there were 3 in a convoy, but they needed the help of capernicus to find the missing one? I guess ‘convoy’ can be quite a loose term, and I also guess there would be security reasons for the helicopter not being traceable.
I was imagining it like that thing Clarkson, Hammond and May used to do on Top Gear where one breaks down and the other 2 make a big point about leaving them and carrying on to their destination.
-
There was a convoy of 3 helicopters, I guess other important government people were spread out amongst the other 2. Just unfortunate for the president it was his that crashed.

Me too, I suspect I've had covid again, at least it's felt the same as when I had it before.
My lad was poorly all last week. It was VERY much like covid symptoms. Quite a few off ill at school too. Something going around for sure.
He hasn’t quite shaken the cough off fully yet but the rest has gone mainly now.

Feel cheated out of a weekend. Been ill and in discomfort/pain all weekend. Missed the nice weather and barely slept as I've been in agony.
Feel quite angry about it all.
Sorry to hear that mate. If you aren’t 100% tomorrow take a day off and chill.

Perfect for this thread - menus that are on TV screens behind the till and they change to the next page when you’re halfway through reading. Pisses me right off.
Anyway, that’s why I took this photo in the Holte the other week..
I felt a bit silly that I didn’t realise the butter chicken I’d eaten was vegan until I saw this photo again the next day.
This is a rubbish photo because all you can see is popadom, but I really enjoyed it, would smash again.
Where does it say it’s Vegan?

There was a funny stat during the City game earlier. Phillips didn’t play for West Ham because of the loan agreement. If instead he was eligible to play for City and was in the squad he’d have got a league winners medal for 5 match involvements.
Instead he watched and managed to lose twice.

We’re debating what Jack has offered City since they bought him for mega money. We’ve agreed it’s not goals or assists, and he’s not considered a starter.
Definitely a massive flop candidate at an investment of £140m ish so far.

£100m for what he has returned (plus what, £40m in wages?) is awful value for money.
They didn’t need him. It was an odd transfer from day 1. If he never played a minute I doubt it would have altered what City achieved during his time.
One of the most expensive players in football history, and hasn’t done anything of note in 3 years in the best team in the world. I think it’s fair to use the “f” word.

A few years back Katy Perry was everywhere and topped those highest earners lists. Whilst she also cannot sing and makes instantly forgettable songs there’s a couple of big reasons why she was successful.
Swift is quite pretty, but it’s not the reason why she’s so successful. I’m still trying to work that out.
