  1. it beats me how anyone can complain about the Villa ticket prices!

Because some people can't afford £30+ per ticket, thats why.

I have a mate who has had to remorgage his house to buy him and his two kids his new Chelsea season tickets. Get real lad's.

So it should be expected that anyone who can't really afford it goes to extreme lengths to watch what 75% of the time is a load of crap? Just so a tiny minority of the population can get richer and richer.

This is not a discussion thread. Anything further will be deleted. Please keep it on topic for QUESTIONS for General Krulak

  2. I can promise you, someone will buy your seat...they just will.

So that is your attitude to fans who can no longer afford it is it?

Basically I don't matter to Aston Villa anymore because you've outpriced us and can have somebody else in our place anyway.

I've supported this football club for over twenty years and all you can do is slap me and my family in the face when we are already down.

Spot on mate. Me and my dad stood on the Holte End back in the 80's in a crowd under 9,000. Won't be able to afford it much next season and knowing how the club think of us as ''easily replaceable'' by johnny come lately's because we have a decent team now, to be honest hurts.

  3. I like that lads earlier suggestion to the supergrass song, only cut down all the verses into 4 lines, any longer and theres no chance of it getting chanted.

We got Young, and he's class

does a trick, then he's past

he scored 2, past the shite

    ashelys alllllllllright

  4. Is there a way of challenging Birmingham City Council in court if they impose sanctions on us for standing at games. Every single club in the premier league has a section of fans that stand at games. Man City and Arsenal have designed singing sections where people are almost encouraged to stand and get behind the teams. It's like we're being singled out for persecution. How are you meant to generate an atmosphere sitting down? When you start singing your first reaction is to just stand and let it out, can we not do that anymore? I can't believe they are trying to ruin the enjoyment of many fans at games by taking it this far. First no potatoes then no standing at all, what next? Turn up at games and just hand over our wallets and be fleeced? Im sick of it.

  5. Posted in the 'Viva Ashley Young' thread:

    to the tune of aggadoo

    Ashley Young Young Young

    Better than Ronaldo,

    Ashley Young Young Young,

Gets the ball and scores a goal,

On the left, on the right,

    Giving de-fenders a fright,

    Ashley Young, Young Young,

    Makes Ronaldo look SHIIITEEEE

    Brilliant song

SUPERB! Can we all bounce when we sing it, like Liverpool do with the Torres song?! Thats a fun song and we can do a fun dance too!

The first 4 lines don't sound right. Its the end of line 2 Ronaldo and end of line 4 scores a goal, it sounds like 2 different songs have been joined together.

  6. General, I like you honesty after each defeat and your determination that we will get there in the end.

I just hope everyone involved with the club knows we will never reach where we want to be signing players like Routledge and Salifou. They dont add anything to the squad and we'd be better off with young hopefulls coming through.

  7. 1. I just returned from a trip to UK. I had great meeting with Randy on Thursday in London and then went up to Villa Park for good meetings on Friday and Saturday. Then came the game. I was very disappointed in what happened. This was a game we should have won...a game we needed to win...and a game that our competitors around the league gave us an "opening" if we had won. It was just sad. I am sure that MON has had a long talk with the Lads...not just about passing and football skills but about confidence and aggressive football. This is a Squad that beat Chelsea and almost had Arsenal...they can do it. All I can say is that it was not good football and MON, Randy, the Directors and the Team all know it. There are people questioning whether Randy is really willing to spend money to improve the team. I can assure you, he is. Mon knows that and so do all the Directors. Both MON and Randy saw the game. They saw what you saw. I have said it before and I will say it again, we need to trust them. NO ONE is happy losing!! We want to win as much as anyone. When the team does not play to its ability, we are all gutted.

It wasn't the basic football skils that were lacking I was annoyed about because I know we have a decent side, proved many times this season. It was the general lack of will to win displayed by the majority of the players who we're second to most balls and didn't compete like against Boro. Also the fact all 11 players made a quick getaway at the end without adknowledging any fans who wasted hard earnt money to see a half hearted performance. The only 1 who looked genuinely upset was Harewood who was last of the pitch for us.

  8. If Randy love Arts and Football, perhaps there should be a very big football/sport art gallery in new North Stand to raise profile of great arts and increase club earning potential.

Just an idea which he might enjoy.

Not such a silly idea - Barcelona have one which is colossal (prob. take a weekend to look around)

Perhaps a small gallery in the Museum thats planned with the opportunity to buy prints of the pictures on display.

  9. Following on from another thread where someone is looking to buy classic Villa photos, would the club consider selling in the club Villa related canvas art?

I know some of it could be a bit pricy but if you offered different sizes and different styles, Black and White, Colour, Pop Art i think not only would the potentially look really good but also prove to be a great hit with fans.

They'd make a great gift for people. I'd love to have a black and white Trinity Rd canvas hanging in my house.

  10. I thought two before the window opened now theres more rumours about people leaving then coming i feel like we'll sign nobody.

Im forgeting about signing players and just looking forwards to the matches. I do think it's gonna cost us a place in the Uefa Cup though.

  11. General Krulak here:

    1. At the same time, what if the score had been 2-nil Villa and you had been there, in your seat, to see it? How much would you have paid to see it? .

General your missing the point. It would have been marvellous to see us win 2-0 but i still wouldn't have been there. Because i and many others couldnt afford £32 quid in a period of 3 games in 10 days just after Christmas even if gaurenteed a 10-0 win.

LV has already posted that the ticket price issue has now been covered. Both set of views and the answers. No more on the same points already made please, folks. Ta. Blandy
