  1. HH if you are in contact with Lambert can you pass on to him I think his buys 90% of them anyway have been appalling. His tactics baffling and the style of football dismal. He's also constructed the worst squad I've seen since 1987.

Oh and if it's not too much trouble ask him to resign so he doesn't get a pay off that he doesn't deserve.

    Thanks.

  3. Just got to add my thoughts on the Final series. I'd been playing games seriously since the good old days of the Spectrum 48k, upgraded to a nes, master system, mega drive, snes and then a playstation. Nothing in any games before that prepared me for Final Fantasy 7.

The fact that over a decade later the story is still so vivid is testament to what a great story it is.was,. The greatest ever told for me. The characters, well finding out all their backstories was never a chore, like it can be in other games, it was a genuine pleasure that drew you into them even more than before.

The music, nothing more needs to be added, it was magical and fitted perfectly with the style of the game and feel.

I've played many a Rpg since and whilst a lot have been good (really enjoyed suikoden 1 and 2) non matched it, Final Fantasy 7 is like that first love that you never forget.

I enjoyed 8, 9, 10 but not as much so and 12 was ok, the storyline maybe not as epic but I was one of those that didn't mind the move to the automatic gambit system. Actually thinking about it I put a huge amount of time into 12 and beat all the bounty hunter missions, from memory the last one took me absolutely ages.

FF7 I put a good 100+ hours into it, breeding the chocobo's, beating emerald and ruby and generally just maxing everything out, all materias levelled, everyone Level 99 with final limit breaks and weapons.

Everything went down hill from 7 and I don't really play consoles much anymore but it will always be my first love. Now i'm off to blow the dust of the statue I've got of Cloud sitting on the Hardy Daytona lol, just for old times.

  4. Just been looking at our relegation rivals starts as i've seen in a few places some people say we've had a pretty easy start. Not true.

Out of all the bottom nine clubs we've had the hardest home fixtures if you take into account the position of the teams we've played, where as Sunderlands have been the easiest.

Home fixtures: Average Position of teams faced

    Aston Villa 6.16

    Newcastle 8.42

    Wigan 8.71

    Norwich 9.66

    Reading 10.16

    QPR 10.33

    Stoke 10.50

    Southampton 10.57

    Sunderland 12.20

Away, we haven't had it quite so hard, but it's your home form that normally keeps you up

Away fixtures: Average position of teams faced

    QPR 6.28

    Southampton 7.33

    Sunderland 7.42

    Stoke 10.12

    WIgan 10.16

    Reading 10.33

    Aston Villa 10.57

    Norwich 11.00

    Newcastle 12.33

Using this scientific method I am now going to place a £50 quid bet on QPR, Southampton and Reading to go down :D

  5. Got married to my wife a year to the day after we first met.

Was with someone for 7 years before this relationship. This last 18 months has been everything I always wanted, the amount of time doesn't seem relevant. I'm 30, shes 23.

As for the missus, she'd probably say wait until you know them better now though lol.

  6. Cant understand how anyone can be dissapointed with Gerards appointment, very good track record. Hasnt been in the Premier League for 6 years but then neither had O'neill before we appointed him.

    Houlliers record at Liverpool

    P 216

    W 108

    D 54

    L 54

    G 354

    A 212

    Pts 378

    O'Neills record at Villa

    P 152

    W 61

    D 53

    L 38

    G 220

    A 179

    Pts 236

  7. No ones knee jerking.

We've been having the same arguements since around april. Most expecting to see changes made, this so called ''important'' summer, where gaps were to be filled and improvements made, never happened, it's not gonna happen either.

They were right all along, the doom mongers, telling us all he's shit in the transfer market, we didnt wanna believe and still dont because we love the Villa but the chickens have come home to roost today.

Deep down loads of people saw this coming.

  8. General, does the club see the pricing rise last summer as a failure?

Reciepts will probably be up on last season even though our average is down by 1,500 and probably will drop a little bit more before the end of the season.

How does the club view the slight attendance drop despite again improving so far on the pitch?

Do you blame the extra european games?

    The credit crunch?

or do you think also Birmingham is not a particularly affluent area, and the current prices are very much at the ceiling of what Brummies can and are willing to pay?

  9. Is their any skill or craft involved in UFC or is it just really street brawling?

I take it you've never seen an event before?

    *Spoilers*

    Chuck, Amir....

    5zjxbo.gif

That was a dirty ass KO.

No, never watched anything to do with any of them. That's why I was wondering if they had any skills or if it is two big, hard, bastards just attacking each other by any means until someone goes down?

  10. Even if he stays we all know he'd rather be somewhere else. Can't be considered for Captaincy either as the example he's set to the other players has been appalling in how he's lied and manipulated his way about the transfer.

If he was to get a big payrise after this now it would be a kick in the balls.

It's probably best for all if he just clears off and we can clear up the mess he's caused and move forwards rather than have him lingering in the background.

  11. Apparently it was £30k a game for Muamba and he played 37 times so that what £1.1m? + £2m upfront + £1.5m sell on. Arsenal made £4.6m from him, amazing seeing as he can't trap a bag of cement. Blues have made a profit of £400k on him less his wages, so they've more than likely made a loss on him, of course the few fans left will tell you different and how it was great business.

  12. Tune: Ring of Fire

    Barry's better than Frank Lampard

    Der deder der der deder

    Barry's better than Steve Gerrard

    Der deder der der deder

    Barry's better than Fabregas

    Der deder der der deder

Barry's Villa and he is class

    Der deder der der deder

    Repeat until bored
