  1. Great player, but if I was in charge of Barca, I would've spent all the money on Pogba.

Pogba is unbelievable, but I feel like he'd be somewhat wasted in Barcelona. He has a lot of attributes that wouldn't fit their tight spaces.

  2. He looked pretty poor up until the goal

Not really for me. He had one poor moment about five minutes after coming on where he have the ball away to Gyan but recovered. Then he made several crucial interceptions and had very good positioning.

  3. Yeah Guzan would've saved that. That's on Howard. He guessed as if ayew was right footed. But even then, it was right at his original position. ****. I didn't think leaving the better goalie on the bench would come back to haunt like that.

  4. Sort of off topic, but I went to a chile ghana friendly in 2011, and the Ghanaian fans were the coolest. Very colorful, enthusiastic, but very friendly too. Even when a couple Chilean fans tried to start fights and stuff, the Ghanaians just said, "hey, we're all friends, mon."

  5. any yanks tell me the opinion on guzan v howard in the states?

im sat here thinking guzan is a better player, howard is a nike poster boy, will only end one way, hoping guzan will get a game but i cant see it

Goaltending is all based off reputation. It's really the one position that you can underperform of overperform and outside of people who watch every week, no one will notice. It's why people still think casillas is really good. (Or at least did until Friday)

Howard started for a really good side this year, and has been good in the past, so off his rep people just assume he's better than Guzan. They also look at the shit team Guzan plays in and ignore all the amazing saves he's made.

Not to say howard hasn't been good. He has. But Guzan is a better keeper at this point to me.

  6. It's easy to forget he had an excellent 07-08 for Blackburn, his stats were very good that year and he'd knuckled down away from the bright lights of London.

So I don't think it was the wisest move to return to the bright lights of London and Spurs who were a bit chaotic at the time with their squad building under Ramos.

Remember we were in for him that summer, I think he'd have done well for us but that would've meant no Milner so I'm reasonably happy how things panned out at that time.

He and Roque Santa Cruz were brilliant together for that one fantastic season.

  7. I posted predictions for tomorrow in the other thread because I kind of misread the title. Anyway, I'll post them here, and they're going to be different, because the other ones looked bad.

    Russia 1-0 Korea

    Australia 0-2 Netherlands
