  1. The main reason is that they probably have the best catchment area of any team in England, given that they are a one club city with only one local rival and absolutely no rival clubs north of them to the Scottish border.

I thought that slightly to the south, Sunderland are actually quite near Newcastle? And if you move further down south there is Middlesborough?

I thought that it was Middlesborough that had no other clubs near them rather than Newcastle, unless clubs from lower leagues are included, then I wouldn't be sure.

  2. A while more and we probably will be forced to accept it, the way transfers are going. The fact that we still can't seem to get in a right back or even been linked to a decent one (all the decent links have been dispelled) means that we'll have to settle for Finnan whether or not the deal makes Barry slightly undervalued or Finnan overvalued.

  3. bollocks to you, why on earth would he be killed just because I took the money?

I ain't falling for that nonsense cos no way a sod is gonna get run over by a freakin car cos I took money that didn't belong to me, if he got killed by a car it's for other reasons.. bollocks to you I'm taking the money! :P

  4. 15 to 18 is certainly possible baring no long injury layoffs and such. His current streak is 6 goals in 13 games so to grab another 9 from 25 should be no problem at all. In fact 9 goals from 25 games is a ratio of a mediocre striker. Gabby is far from it so why should it be a problem for him?

To ask for 20 this season is a bit high. What would his target be next season and the next then? 25 goals next season and 30 thereafter?

  5. Isn't it a fact that it's Birmingham? Don't tell me you guys aren't sure or it's not official?

And just because Manure are the biggest team doens't mean they get to own the whole of England and shape it the way they want it.

  6. I agree "wiv" you 2007.

i thought Stan did well when he came on - one sloppy pass aside, he looked composed and controlled and added a bit of calm to proceedings when we needed it.

This was not Super Mart's best game for us either - but the was up against the likes of Droggers and SWP so understandable - coped admirably i thought - and not many do that against Droggers.

Haha, actually that is the problem with Petrov. He is way too casual and slow to the point where he looks uninterested. On other matches where he does the same of holding he ball for a couple of seconds, looks lost, then passes it sideways or backwards, he gets flamed. Somehow for Chelsea, since we needed to stem their desperate tide, his playing was suitable for once.

BTW, the person who spun around Terry and blasted the left footed shot was Gabby not Luke right?
