He was one of our best players, saved our skin and is reduced to this. I wish him all the best. Whatever happened behind closed doors is between him and PL (assuming that's the root cause, as it seems to be).

Apparently PL has a plan, which almost had us relegated. I still have faith in the plan but his handling and disrespect of one of our stars (at the time) was not good, and a gamble.

Yep, I imagine it's to do with the internets, the youtube videos spawning countless news items which can affect any transfer activity the club are working at. The power of the web is such that new controls have to be considered which may affect stuff that we've been doing for decades as par for the course, like this signing and meeting players stuff. It sucks but if it's affecting any business that is going on, you can bet they will consider these kind of measures. Especially given we have a number of transfers that need to happen to clear the books and possibly open the way for new blood, you can bet they don't want anything jeopardising any progress. 

Probably once things have calmed down and there's less room for problems, ie during the season / when 99% are settled and going nowhere, then they'll lift it. I doubt they'd want to shut the kids out on purpose especially as they work fairly hard to encourage the kids to be a part of the club.

Also, if you get a ticket with the tesco's.. then you're probably ok as long as you stay quiet. It can be tough. I sat in the Kop at Anfield on opening day of the league a few seasons back and we won 3-1 i think... of 20 of us there, half were Villa fans... it was hairy at lunchtime going to the loos as hidden under my hoodie was my villa shirt...well tucked away. After the match the hoody came off and the security were sound, actually really good laugh. 

But I'm never happy when a load of away supporters get in the Holte so I was a bit naughty then but it was what it was and I kept quiet. In the main areas it's not so hardcore and you'd be fine as long as you keep quiet when we smash them 14-0

Wouldn't it be easier to for the government to sponsor and offer a software solution for anyone who wanted this protection on their computer?!

They say they're trying to stop certain elements having access to it. I doubt anybody that wants to do anything untoward will care for that kind of solution :S

Ciudad Real airport was the one I believe and Sesena the town... both a stones throw from madrid where they were going. Castellon would be a massive detour

He will have added pressure to perform if he stays and the WC year is great for us as it is further incentive for him to do so. It's basically the biggest town near the training ground, it has most of the usual shops for a town centre. And Sutton Coldfield (mostly and arguably) is where many footballers and wealthier people live. Loads of AV players live or have lived a few minutes drive from where that photo was taken

 

Most Villa players live here, as well as our former owner and President Emeritus (don't we know it!)

You see a good lump of West Brom players around, as well as the odd Wolves one.

I believe that both a former and the current England manager are still in residence.

It has a Porsche dealership that appears to live off the back of footballer's desire to change their cars often. White Panameras and cheap second hand Cayennes are in abundance!

 

And the town centre is crap!

Pretty much sums it up! I meant to say most but some are in stourbridge and newer ones get lodged at the mailbox and a few are dotted around brindley place. I used to see Carlos a fair bit on a friday around tesco five ways. Had a few chats with him. Met Angel at his house too.
