Which would be pointless. Even if he won the game after city would anyone see it as anything than a fluke?

He's showed no consistency here at all.

I’d be shocked if they sacked him before the next game

Horrible bloke, horrible manager, sooner he's gone the better.

Unfortunately, I reckon the club will just expect the beating from the next 2 games and then hope he gets a win against one of Leicester or Saints. That's the big worry for me. Fluking a win out his arse that will just prolong the inevitable.

That’s how I see it. They’ll write off the next 2 and then hope for a reaction after that. He’s got 4 more games then it’s over.

On a side note I genuinely dislike commentary teams and pundits but I want to show a bit of respect for Le Saux who was balanced respectful and objective in his analysis. Obviously he showed pashun towards Chelsea understandable but overall I liked hearing what he had to say. Asked Dean Smith some really good questions and a couple of cheeky ones regarding January spending etc. Townsend wasn't as bad as he usually is.

I was surprised by Le Saux. Thought he came across well. The guy hosting was desperate to make it sound like we were very lucky

Good result, enjoyed the game, special mention to the battle of the #7's, McGinn vs Kante. Sensational battle between the pair of them all game long, both fight for their team in the right spirit, plenty of respect for each other, both absolutely none-stop, just made for great viewing. It's the kind of thing you don't see too often as the referees are often too picky, so kudos to Atwell as well for letting them go at it.

We do look a really good team at the moment, night and day from last season.

If that was Spurs and José you know everyone would be saying it was the perfect away draw

  5. Bruce has played this well in saying he's not leaving. It means he's got a chance to fight for his place. Hopefully showing some more effort etc.

If he was to come out and say he's available would mean less effort from Ross, why would he bother?

If the right bid/swap came in then I reckon Bruce would get rid. We would have to change the team/formation to suit Ross and I don't think he's good enough to warrant that.

  6. 4 points from his first 2 games is a good return. He wasn't my first choice, but I'm pleased with his start. It's clear the players aren't fully fit (not the first time we've seen that at Villa). I think we'll get through the next 2 games without being beaten.
