Scoring 2 jammy goals doesn't proove PL quality for me though.

One was possibly intentional - the other was pure jam took a massive deflection.

If that goal against Stoke was "possibly" intentional I'd like to see what he can do when he really tries to take on a shot

No improvement on what we have - no thanks

Being fairly young getting to the league cup final under mon is probably up there. 

Until the referee (dowd if I recall) failed to send off Vidic for a clear red -itbecame my most enraged moment  

Seen him play 15mins. 

He is already better than tonev

Would have rather played him than bowery against Spurs and Citeh 

Guzan, Vlaar, Okore, Delph, Westwood, Bacuna, Gabby, Weimann, Benteke, Kozak - Would Keep these players 

Anyone else can go in my eyes - gabby and Weimann have been terrible this season but I think with the right manager would perform again. 

Baker is 23 and Clark is 24 - hardly kids anymore and not improved much - ok as backup at a push. 

Ship out pronto: Nzogbia, Herd, Sylla, Bennett, Bowery,and Tonev.

Sherwood - I love the honesty 

 

The Texans combined are worth 4 billion or so. A lot more financial power than Randy. Also their baseball team is actually successful

Are they? I looked and could only see they were worth around $1.6B

Oh behave. Not good enough for who? Villa? Do you still think we "deserve" to be challenging for the league "because we're Aston Villa". Get real, we're not getting anybody better than that for a while. Besides, not many right-backs will have their best games in two games against far superior teams when the whole team is playing dross.

 

He's young and has proven he is capable. You need to be realistic - if we are going to start to ship out people like Lowton who exactly do you expect to get in that is better and would actually join us? There is a lot of deadwood in the squad, but shipping every player out beyond Delph, Vlaar, Benteke and Guzan is not really viable is it and would completely ruin next season.

 

I guess our potential new owners should come in and spend a load of money that we don't have again on "established Prem players" like we did with Habib Beye.

 

Please don't put words in my mouth I mentioned nothing about we should be battling for the title. 

I expect hard working, grafting and a desire to win none of which Lowton has shown this season.

Against tottenham first goal he losses the ball doesnt even chase back and they score. 

His posistioning is terrible, slow and as above lacks desire and work rate. 

RB's better than Lowton that cost hardly anything:

Coleman, Flanagan, Clyne, Bacuna (not even a RB)

As I said not his fault we gave him a crazy contract - he was frozen out for money reasons nothing to do with performance. 

Benteke ofc is a better player and suits the long ball game we play - again your point is a irrelevant comparison. 

5 games in which he received minimal service. 

Ireland and bannan played terribly all season and where then sold. 

Not his fault we gave him a stupid contract though is it. 

Im not saying he is amazing just saying he would of been useful backup - instead of bringing on Jordan Bowery or Grant Holt

Bit harsh I think , he kept us up single handed when he signed. 

Then was never given a chance by PL - of course he is rubbish now as he hasnt got game time. 

Next season if he gets proper run of games for a PL team he will score goals I think.

Lowton is lazy against hull albrighton was chasing back more than him!

Think we are all punching above weight with De Boar and Pochentino.

At a push I think best we can hope for is Moyes or Laudrup. 

Possibly the case i thought he just returned from loan so I guess more match fitness could be why- but I find it strange we sign Helenius and never give him a go. 

Guzan would be a no 1 for many other teams but I think he loves it at villa and will stay.

Good game against hull but as others have said no real future. 

Don't really know why he is starting above helenius ?

He will got to america I reckon - or if PL goes who knows may stay?

Bit tight for my liking its not the tour de france !
