That form was an anomaly. If he doesn't score today it's 1 in 12 in the league.
Archer could not offer anything though

Cracking points about Emery needing to shake it up at half time.
Never seen you say anything useful either

Cool. I look forward to Emery signing a striker at half time.
Had months too sign one and sold archer?

Not really entirely sure what he can do? We've been miles the better side, completely dominated and created at least three very, very good chances.
It's been an almost perfect half bar some poor finishing.
signed a striker

Ayew on strike. Familiar.
Why the hate ayew ?
Thought he was ok for us in what was a dreadful team at the time.

that looked like a fantastic save, Richards very fortunate to not give up an OG

Winning nothing is an achievement?
Getting into Europe is an achievement yes, getting to a cup final is also an achievement.

Exactly

O' Leary spent about 30 million in 3 seasons while O'Neill had us on more than one occasions among Europe top spenders. Charlatan
Still didn't achieve the same though did they?

O'Leary achieved as much as O'Neill the ultimate opportunist charlatan. Playoff win was more than any manager has done this century. A dodgy corner probably cost us a trophy
O'leary finished 6th once, then he finished 10th then 16th - completely laughable to compare him to Oneil's 3 6th place finishes and being robbed in the league cup final by the non vidic red card.

Yea, he was pretty dumb playing through Grealish, I mean, he's done nothing apart from win a treble with probably the best team in the world. Fancy using him as a plan in the championship!
I said we didnt have a plan b. Not that Grealish was not the correct plan a get a grip.

Yet still probably the most successful Villa manager in the last 20 years though Unai should better this
Grealish thing is a cop out though, yes Smith indulged him but quite ignorant to say was all Grealish. Considering Mings, McGinn, Emi, Luiz, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Hourihane, Konsa and a few more made vital contributions. After lockdown Grealish wasnt one of our better performers
I'd say Martin O'neil was more successful in the last 20 years. Dean Smith has a lower Win % than Steve Bruce.
It's not a cop out we were abysmal in the championship when grealish was injured he pretty much single handed got us to the play offs when he came back.
Admittedly in the prem season we bought watkins who scored 14 goals and el ghazi scored 10 so was less so but out play patterns were still get the ball to grealish at all costs.

Chelsea probably stitched him up as they wanted rid of him because he was so bad. I'd say usually the players are tipped off when the testing lads are in.
Could be although all chelsea strikers since drogba have been bad

I would cash in Jan if we can get 50m+ for him to be honest.
Think he's reached his peak and should get some profit while we can.

From what ive seen him of so far I have not been impressed - he has not earned a starting spot.
Barely saw him break into more than a light jog.
-
Think many people rose tint dean smith just because he was a villa fan.
IMO he was bang average and was carried by grealish who was able to mask his lack of tactical depth.
When grealish didnt play we had no plan B.

Someone on here, apologies for not remembering who, as it is not I that deserves the credit for this observation, noted that cocaine is rife amongst premier league players, and also a banned substance, yet no-one is ever banned for taking cocaine. Unless there is an agreement that such bans are painted as injuries.
This fact very much says that drug tests are either not a thing, or a charade.
Furthermore I would assume that drug cheating is more than often a step ahead of drug testing.
Adrian Mutu was banned for 9 months for taking coke

best group of players we have had for some time over the last few years imo and southgate ruined them playing this shite slow negative football. We have som much pace and skill and we dont use it madness
