  1. "They want to break into that top four, is this the kind of football of a top for team? For me...no"

I'm not going to say we will finish in the op four, however this is such a lashing statement from a commentator. I mean, we beat Liverpool recently, plus Hull outplayed Chelsea yesterday and were unlucky. They didn't play the sort of football that gets top four, so go figure....

  2. so all of a sudden we need to go to 4-4-2 again?? thought 4-5-1 was the only way we could possibly play and that MON was a clueless tool for trying 4-4-2. Funny game eh?!

Well when we have someone as shite as Sidwell as one of the five in midfield, we might aswell play four their anyway....

  3. Not good enough by way of quality signings. We didn't get what we needed. I'm happy that we now have more depth in the squad, yet I still don't think we have improved much on the quality side of things. Plus we didn't get in a replacement for Laursen, a creative midfielder or a goalscorer.

We have more options now, which is never a bad thing. Yet MON certainly hasn't done anything out of the ordinary this transfer window. He has gone with safe players and has once again failed to get in the quality of players we need to push on. No doubt at least two of the players we have got this summer could prove to be great buys. Yet the overall quality of our squad is still not there in my opinion....

  4. you just know that with all these new "features" that it will make it easier for the so called bigger teams to rape the smaller teams...

this thing about the defenders being able to get back at the strikers, just smacks of allowing slow but "rated" cloggers like john terry, the excuse to catch up with speed merchants like agbonlahor...

il try the demo, but it it does the same thing of deciding the results before kick off, then i am not buying it... (i had a game on 09 the other day where i had 30 chances and could not score for love nor money, despite trying everything, and the opposition scored with the most dubious penalty in the 107th min and their only chance to win the game 1-0...

The computer beat you? Does this really happen?!

  5. Attend about 15+ per season, including away games. Held a season ticket a few years back (using my student loan), yet haven't been able to afford one since. Hopefully I will get a well paid job soon and will be able to afford one. The train down their alone is £30, so it's not a cheap day out.

I do still try to go whenever I can though. Usually to about 12 home games and at least four away games per season. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Basically, I go whenever I can afford to go.

Been to the Wigan and Liverpool matches so far this season, so not a bad start. :D

  6. Just got in from the match and I was loving every second of it. I was sitting amongst the Liverpool supporters in the Kop, so I had to keep celebrations to a minimum. Their faces were priceless though, as was their reaction to losing. All they kept doing was blaming the ref, despite the fact that he made many odd choices both ways. One decision he certainly got right was the penalty!

Anyway, I thought the lads performed really well. Yet, some of the credit has to go down to Liverpool aswell for playing so badly and for missing so many chances. I thought our lads showed so much heart though. They ran their legs off and worked so hard with and without the ball. The biggest thing that I loved abut the match was how confident we looked on the ball and the fact that our passing looked good for most of the match. We were like a different team from the Wigan match. That one was hell to sit through, along with the train journey back. This match tonight was a pleasure to sit through though. The Kop was a funny place to be.

Finally, I just want to say that I won't be getting too carried away with this result and I hope MON doesn't use this as an excuse not to get more faces in. We still weren't brilliant, and if Liverpool had taken their chances then we may well have lost. Although to be fair, we did what we set out to do. We defended well and hit them on the counter attack.

Forget it, I can't be bothered to get into the negatives. I'm going to enjoy this brilliant result. Well done to the lads tonight and what a turnaround. I'm so happy! The lads proved me wrong and got the win. UTV!
