Terrible. terrible public relations. Lost control of the announcement straight away. Hilarious.

Brian Cox doing some splendid work.

This is painful to watch, just announce the date and bugger off.
Maybe having the announcement inside might have been a bit better instead of piss*ng rain and Labour trolling him?

This is a massive ball ache for all local authorities to arrange at short notice. If they held it in May along with the local and mayoral elections it would have been a lot easier.

The dracula castle i really wanna go but for 2 nights its going to swallow up alot of our day
Hop hopligans looks good
You can do it in a day- there are lots of day trips from Bucharest you can book if you want. Peles castle is the more impressive one.

Well I am surprised, I thought he hang on over the summer. The economic forecasting must be anaemic then if they going to the people now with their current polling. It's signing his own death warrant.

Hinging your electoral fate on England doing well in an international tournament is a... bold move
Didn't work for Wilson in 1970.....

Hunt cancelling ITV seems a bit harsh. Won't someone please think of Ken Barlow?

If it is July the tories should pay for the election as they could have held in May and got it out of the way rather than stinking up the place for two more months.
I am still dubious unless Sunak has a nice job lined up in Silicon Valley with a September start date and thought best to sack off his current gig.

It's because they can't be bothered to say that there is no news and the election will be in October which has been the date for well over a year. No chance of a snap election.

Just googled - Once valued at £6bn. BILLION. That's mental.
Never turned a proft. Paper value based on hype.

Went about 10 years ago when it was very cheap. I suspect it is still fairly reasonable. Yes you have to go to the parliament, it has to be seen to be believed. About an eighth of the city centre was demolished and thousands of people moved out. They basically exhausted the entire supply of marble in the country for it. Freetours are quite good- a couple of hours walk around the centre and you pay what you want at the end- though you should give something! The village museum is worth a look as well. If you want a trip out than Brasov- Brans Castle (along with the dracula tat) and peles castle is a good if long trip out.
In terms of places to eat/drink caru cu bere is a stunning building to spend a bit of time in.
The metro is good to get around if somewhat utilitarian unless they have modernised it recently. It was very cheap something like 4 quid for a week's pass.

If Rice gets injured England are screwed. No cover really. We will go out in the standard quarter final slot we have made our own, apart from a couple of time we flirted with success.

A four year deal based on about 6 months of decent work. I mean what were we thinking?

Well that was OK, having Gabby front it won't please a few though.
Could have done without the Peaky Blinders music, and they managed to shoehorn in everyone's favourite diver for some reason.
That sounds dreadful already. Going to give it a miss. That bloke is stealing a living being 'Mr Aston Villa' based on about 3 good seasons. Next.

His injury record is a concern. His career never really recovered after his last year at Everton which he was out the whole year. This season is probably the most he was played since.
If we think we can manage his fitness as a backup player then fine it's a decent buy.

Pretty much this. Players of Duran's age grew up with Chelsea being one of the very best teams in the world for a long time, it's why the like of Caicedo went there instead of Liverpool.
Yeah though didn't really work in the 90s and 00s for us though with players brought up on Villa winning the league and European championship. The only player I remember saying that was Patrik Burger.

my problem with the 300k kit sales is that it will depend on adidas not giving us a kit that looks like shit....
The look makes no difference, it is brand awareness and how successful and exciting Villa is now seen (or not) to be in the wider world of sports entertainment.
I don't work in the industry but the fanatics deal never seemed to make sense, we never had control of the product or club shop.

Dunno but I'm certain that if they're making the first 10 rows of The North Stand corporate, they're going to filter them into the restaurants/bars without them needing to enter then mental concourses as they currently do, which to my mind requires some kind of side exit from the front of TNS. Maybe this is what they're building and it may link to the new converted executive boxes GA+ lounge in The Witton Lane stand.
This is so crap. Putting in corporate stuff in an ancient stand that should be halfway to be demolished. And the rest of the plebs who use it will not get any additional improvements.

I think it's weird that we added 1874 this time after removing Prepared from the Lerner badge because it made it look unbalanced. It's taking up the same level of space on the badge and has roughly equivalent value. What's the point?
Cos Heck seems obsessed with the 150th anniversary programme.

It wouldn't be a free though, wouldn't he have a few years left on his contract at luton?
-
The last time I can remember a player coming to Villa on a loan, and then returning as a permanent signing a few years later is Milner.
So a similar repeat would be nice.

A left field choice, but thinking about it could be a decent piece of business. Low cost and added experience. He knows Villa already and can fit straight in adding depth to the squad.
I have to raise my hands up I did not think he would do as well as he did with Luton. He has kicked started his career and might appreciate a second chance going to a top club again.
He started well for us but really went off form for the last few months- so should fit right in lol.

No surprise
Hopefully he can secure a permanent transfer and we can get a decent fee for him
New solution is to get him out on loan somewhere else given he must be on a massive wage at Villa. Emery obviously isn't a fan.

Re election coverage, the news channels seem obsessed of giving all of the nations coverage but not the regions like the midlands. Due to devolution Scotland and Wales return less MP's know and are less of an importance in the electoral calculations. But as ever london media can't really understand this.
