  1. Can understand why fans want to show their anger toward the way things are going, they pay their hard earned cash week in week out after all. I do however feel it will fall on deaf ears. The club is nothing without fans (happy or angry). I think the boycott for a game would be the best way of proetesting, as this would hit the club where it hurts, in the back pocket.

Unfortunatley you will never get everyone to agree that its a good idea and some fans will happily go to games whatever the result, whatever the style of football, whatever league we are in.

Personally I have not been to Villa park at all this season (and this doesnt make me less of a fan than anyone before you start), but I didnt agree with the Mcleish oppointment when it happened and still dont now, I said I would not watch the dire football that would be served up and would not be prepared to pay my hard earned cash to fund the clubs mistake (all my opinion of course), and will stand to that until the ginger one is gone and the club show some sort of ambition again or at least come out and be honest that they are just trying to sustain being in the league.

Believe it our not I would actually have respect for Learner if he made a statement to the fans stating that he had invested heavily into the club trying to push for the top 4, the plan did not work and for now, its all about getting the financial state of the club to a state of repair and we will see where we can go from there. However he has never mentioned anything like this and when in the rare occurance he does talk to the press he still makes out like we can push on with a challenge and his best interests are of the club and fans. Something I believe is absolute bollocks and believe this only infuriates fans even more because they can actually see what is happening with the club (its not rocket science) and he couldnt give an absolute toss at the moment.

I know that may be a bit strange to hear, but I would at least accept him as being honest and our priorities have had to change some-what, but all he is doing at the moment is expecteing fans to believe the false pretences and PR bullshit spouted from their mouths.

    Sorry, rant over...

  2. Read what I wrote on the previous page (well 54). I have never stated he was a poor manager. I'm not at all bitter, if anything it's the people who keep bringing up the fact MON wins a game in comparison to our own form who are likely more bitter than I am. I could care less who's in charge of Sunderland. My focus is on Villa.

    This.

If anything, those who keep highlighting O'Neill's 'success' at Sunderland are constantly reminding us of how much of a piss poor failure he was at Villa Park.

Piss poor failure at Villa park? REALLY...?

How fans can write this is beyond me. The guy brought us so close to top 4 on 3 seperate occasions...if by Failure you mean not getting us into top 4 but im not sure thats what you meant.

The guy took us from being absolutley nowhere to flirting with the big boys once again, being able to beat anyone on our day (and we did), scoring goals for fun, defended like giants, attendences highly than I can remember and teams fearing playing us....Nobody had done that with us for many many years.... how anyone can say he was a failure either has mental issues or are just deluded beyond belief!

  3. Newcastle are a good side but i thinking people jizzing all over there greatness isn't warranted.

We deserved something from this game, but bad luck, shit substitutions and awful defending cost us again.

we will continue to limp through the season, until we can ship out half the dross in the team in the summer, whether we can avoid relegation to get to that phase is another story.

i for one can't be **** to watch this shit anymore.

How can you say (in the same sentence I may add) that we Deserved something from the game but defended awfully...? the 2 just dont go together.

i.e. if you defend awfully, your gunna get beat! its not rocket science.

  4. Gotta agree with most, Warnock and Hutton are terrible. It really does make you wonder how some of these players stay established premier league players for such long periods of time. When you look at them 2 along with Heskey (another joke of a footballer) how the **** do these players make such good livings for such lengthy periods of time when they are such tripe!

In any other walk of life they would have been made redundant a long time ago, only to end up in a lesser job....can never work out how some of these players last so long at the top level.

  5. **** me I swear 95% of villa fans are only happy when they've got something to moan snout. On negative tactics, we play exactly the same now as we did.under his.holiness Mr oneill. We just don't defend as well. We had.a patched up midfield with zog and alby injured, its no surprise arsenal pasted us. We urgently need a new centre half, a battler and comander, mayby huth from stoke

You are absolutely correct we do play exactly the same as under O'Neill.

    NO **** POSSESSION.

But yet under him we managed to win games like this. Go figure!] Because 3 seasons ago we had a back four of cuellar melberg laursen warnock, young milner Barry downing in midfield and carew and gabby up front. We won because we had a far superiour team then to the wasters we have atm.

so what are you implying? that with a much weaker team we should be able to play more atrractive football and retain possesion better?

  7. It hit Walcott in the shoulder - it was flukey goal as ever. Any other player probably wouldn't get as much grief as Hutton gets. As poor as he was.

but he decided to smash it left footed back towards an area with Walcott and 3 villa players when he had the time and space to play it right footed away from anyone

it was a lack of common sense mixed with panic that you would expect to see from kids football

You've clearly never played football - it was a desperate attempt at a clearance but anywhere else and you'd say it was sensible defending.

NO, it was shit, as is Hutton.
