I've just checked and there's no lemons in my lemonade so no excuses

I checked and didnt' see Ollie squeeze out a better performace with better service minded players around him.

We are 2nd in the league. I'd say he has enough quality around him, just needs to learn how to use it.

Absolutely, but I was talking about todays match ;)

He hardly set the game alight

Hard to impress when you're asked to make lemonade for 50 people and they give you just 2 lemons.

His runs are smarter. He makes space for others. But that irrelevant. We are talking about Duran not playing well, he hasn't been bad per say either, but best player stuff is delusional. He playing for himself, not the team!

Like when he was near the pk spot vs. Manure, didn't have the best angle, so quickly laid if off to Ollie who had better shot? Or is it when he tracks back to help bring the ball up or move towards the ball when it's being pass around by opposing defenders?  Duran is a lot of things, such as immature at the moment, but being selfish is definitely not one of his traits, although the best strikers in the world are all selfish.

Duran has had fa to work with yet got two decent shots away first half. Just made a dangerous run a couple of minutes ago and Bailey ignored it.

Also had Ramsey ignore him in the first half with a shot that looked like a cross from the left and Duran 4 feet from him wide open. Duran looked frustrated coming out but I think it was more like seeing players that could've helped him more, coming on, while he went off.

If there's any truth to the rumours about his attitude then that's a game changer, but from an on-field perspective I think we might regret selling him at this point - I really think he's got something

I really do believe it's just immaturity and that Unai is handlingly him perfectly. LIke most kids, when they want something and don't get it, they pout. I'm crossing my fingers that  people around him aren't poising his mind telling him he's way better than OW and that he should leave. I just pray JPA is talking to him to stay patient and be professional in his approach like JPA himself and Falcao.

  7. I've been super optimistic about Villa's future before Alemany was linked with us so I could careless that he's no longer coming. Good for him and his agent for using us to get more money from Barsa. Nothing personal just business. The plan our favourite Egyptian and American have had in place since they bought the club is sure to attract other very well qualified "gurus" that see Villa's bright future. Let's face it, not too many people predicted a manager with a resume like Unai joining us when he did. So F Alemany and UTV.

We’re Aston Villa, and we’re bigger than the Colombian FA.

As a Colombian and longtime Villa supporter (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before JPA joined), I beg to differ.

We must surely be the most South American side in Premier League?

Don't tell M'bappe that as he'll think we play in the Bahamian third division.

19 years old, already capped 3 times for Colombia. He's hardly likely to be a donkey considering some of their forwards like Muriel and Diaz.

Don't know anything about him, but I'm optimistic. I don't think Unai would accept a dud.

Coincedently, he's more like Muriel's Colombia teammate at Atalanta.. Duvan Zapata who is also 6'2''.  He was actually the first person I thought of when I saw him play for the Fire and Colombia. Very powerful and explosive.

  11. Can't be too upset when the result is what you thought it might be before the start of the match. Also, to be fair... Liverpool has players on it's bench that could start for us. Let's move on to next match because today's second half gives me a lot of optimism that Emery's first few matches with us weren't a fluke.

  12. As an optimist, I could careless about result. Hearing final whistle mean't the end of the God Awful Gerrard Era and the start of a new one with lots of promise. If it was just another manager, like Dyche, it would a cautious optimism but I'm really giddy about his arrival this week. Fresh new start for the entire squad to prove themselves infront of a multi-European trophy winner. Would be great to be at the training grounds next week just to see the change of atmosphere.

It's okay lads, only Manure next!

With Stevie yes would've have been worried, but with Unai not in the slightest. Not saying we're going to win but I'm know we'll have a fighting chance. I'm sure players will be pumped in his first game and they'll be strategically standing in the right place.

  14. Not sure why people get on the players for how they tactically perform. They're just doing what the boss asks them to do. If you ask a good steel worker to make wood furniture don't expect a masterpiece. Not his fault, it's just not his strength.

It’s not there. It’s when Watkins passes back to Ramsey. Line ref assumed he touched it and waived Coutinho off.

Correct. Linesman raises flag believing Ramsey touched the ball while Coutinho was offsides. My problem is if you're not 100% certain, KEEP THE FLAG F-ING DOWN... and let VAR sort it out. Although, have to say..can't be certain Coutinho would've scored as the City players stopped playing once they heard the whistle.
