  1. for me it goes sha, Cov, WBA, Wolves then Leicester.

As a kid I went to a primary school where there was no sha fans and they were in the lower leagues so never even knew they existed. However I had a Coventry City fan teacher who made my life a living hell. Put pictures of there 4-1 victory all over the classroom and kept them there for a year. But then sha got to the Carling Cup final and all of sudden these little sprawny sprogs started appearing in small dirbs and drabs then they got promoted and youd see a few shirts, then they beat us and I just grew a huge hatred for them.

  2. General, what American sports sides do you support?

Are there any plans to get involved with the 3 local universities in Birmingham: Aston, UCE and Birmingham, all get plenty of foreign students and would possibly like to watch Premiership football?

What are the chances of us setting up Saturday morning football academies in areas such as Kingstanding, Erdington, Great Barr etc, some already exist and are ran independatly but perhaps they could be supported by Villa instead?

Are feeder clubs being looked into? Walsall perhaps?

Any chance you could allow all football sim/management games to be officialy be licensed by Villa, such as Football Manager, Pro Evolution Soccer etc

Can we have a new and improved official website, one that isnt supported by premier.tv or what ever its called.

Can the Villan radio station be bought back so it can be listened to on Sky Digital.

  3. General Krulak here:

    1. Witton Station...to Villa Park Station or something like that. We are already in conversation to see what it will take to make this happen. Ha! We are ahead of you all on one point!

Currently Birminghams main train station New Street is in discussions to be redeveloped, Villa definetly need a presence there.

  4. linked with Robbie Keame....

MARTIN O'Neill says Villa can continue to "reach for the stars" this season - and he is understood to be running the rule over Tottenham striker Robbie Keane in an effort to bring Villa closer to their dreams.

Keane has found himself out of the Spurs team in recent weeks with Dimitar Berbatov, Mido and Jermain Defoe preferred.

He came off the bench in midweek and scored his second goal of the campaign in the Carling Cup-tie at MK Dons but is yet to open his account in the Premiership.

Keane almost joined Villa from Wolves seven years ago but John Gregory baulked at the £5million asking price.

O'Neill knows it would cost much more now to lure the 26-year-old Republic of Ireland frontman back to the Midlands.

He is giving nothing away with regards to his targets but has admitted that he wants only top-quality additions.

And O'Neill has already stated he could be hampered by clubs still involved in European competition.

He said: "I think that the squad needs strengthening. The really good players in the dressing room would admit that it would be fanstastic if we could get a little bit more help and that is part of my job.

"I just hope the fans will trust me to do it as best I can.

"I will not please everybody but if there are more than a handful think I am doing okay, then that will be all right.

"Eventually you live or die by what happens on the field of play and, obviously, the more preparation I have for it and the further I am able to look in terms of quality then the better chance you have of getting it right."

O'Neill has concerns about the depth of his squad with Gavin McCann sidelined with a calf injury and Stiliyan Petrov now going down with foot blisters.

Youngsters Isiah Osbourne and Craig Gardner and the hopelessly out-of-favour Eric Djemba-Djemba are left to fight for a central midfield spot alongside Steven Davis.

As a consequence, Lee Hendrie may well be recalled from his loan spell with Stoke City early next week.

O'Neill said: "The unbeaten run will end and then it is how we dig ourselves out after that. It sounds cliched, but we will find our level this year.

"It doesn't mean that you cant try and reach for the stars in moments of ecstasy - and in moments of absolute depression you think about where the next point is coming from.

"We are going fine at this minute. I am just a wee bit concerned about the size of the squad. If we get injuries and suspensions, which are inevitable, it is how we are able to cope."

  5. Oh yes Kingstanding was very much right side, along with us from Aldridge and Brownhills as I say. I'd go as far to say (and controversial this is) Kingstanding is probably the biggest Villa fan area of the Midlands

Your right I live there :winkold:

  6. PSV Eindhoven's South Korean international Young-Pyo Lee wants to follow compatriot Park Ji-Sung by landing a big-money move to The Premiership.

Lee watched enviously as Park was taken to Manchester United for £4.5 million over the summer and started in their opening fixture, a 2-0 win at Everton.

The 28-year-old left back sees The Premiership as a step up and has has told his agent to pave the way for a transfer to England.

They are hopeful of making further developments over the next week and a switch cannot be ruled out before the window slams shut at the end of August.

Lee has been capped 55 times for South Korea, scoring three times.

"It's time to go and play somewhere else," he has been quoted as saying in the Dutch press.

From skysports, hes been linked with us before i believe.

  7. Everton have emerged as suitors of Espanyol defender Albert Lopo.

The Spanish stopper has long been linked with a move to The Premiership and was watched by Manchester United and Aston Villa last season.

Both clubs retain an interest in the centre half, while Everton are now understood to have joined the hunt for Lopo.

The Toffees watched Lopo in action last week when Espanyol were thrashed 4-0 by Blackburn Rovers in a pre-season friendly.

United and Villa also had scouts present at Ewood Park, with Lopo now waiting to discover if a bid will be made.

Lopo has just 12 months remaining on his contract with Espanyol and the club would be fearful of losing him for nothing next summer.

Espanyol want around £2 million for Lopo but, given that he featured in a heavy defeat, he may not have impressed the Premiership scouts.

  8. Skysports.com can reveal that Bolton are planning a move for Southampton midfielder Fabrice Fernandes.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce is keen to bolster his squad ahead of the new season and he has lined up a move for Fernandes.

Fernandes could prove to be an attractive proposition to a number of a clubs as he is available on a free transfer.

The Frenchman has reached an accord with Southampton to let him leave on a free transfer despite having a year to run on his contract.

Fernandes has expressed a desire for a return to The Premiership following Southampton's relegation last term and Bolton could be ready to offer him a return to the top-flight.

The player's agent Willie McKay revealed Bolton were one of a number of clubs interested in signing Fernandes and that the player was determined to play at the highest level.

"I have spoken to a few clubs including Bolton about Fabrice," McKay told skysports.com

"Fabrice is a very good player and he good addition for any squad in The Premiership.

"He is available on a free transfer and he has an agreement with Rupert Lowe to let him leave and Harry Redknapp will not stand in his way if he moves on.

"Fabrice is keen to be playing in The Premiership and I have been speaking to Sam Allardyce and he is interested in him."

    Worth a look?
