  1.

Looks like a Cleverly head to me.

You do realise Cleverly's white don't you?  :detect:

Yeah and the photo looks like a white dude... or the whitest black dude I've ever seen.

First time Delph's ever been called that! you could tell by the hair, even if the lighting made him look lighter

  2. It's stupid though

Its MMA, some of people around me seemed to just want to watch a slugfest with every fight rather than appreciate MMA for what it is

The way I see it is the UFC are more likely to go back to the places where the fans are great, and they won't want to go back to cities where the fans boo for pointless reasons

It's a shame there wasn't any top tier names there, but perhaps there will be next time they come to England

glad I got to see the likes of Carwin and Cane, both I rate very highly and will have huge futures

  3. tonight was excellent

the fans who booed really pissed me off, theres no need for it, especially when the fight wasn't even boring

only got 2 predictions wrong, not bad not bad

  4. my picks

    * Middleweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Chris Leben

    * Light Heavyweight bout: Keith Jardine vs. Brandon Vera

    * Light Heavyweight bout: Sokoudjou vs.l Luis Cane

    * Welterweight bout: Marcus Davis vs. Paul Kelly

    * Welterweight bout: Chris Lytle vs. Paul Taylor

    Preliminary card

    * Heavyweight bout: Shane Carwin vs. Neil Wain

    * Welterweight bout: Akihiro Gono vs. Dan Hardy

    * Lightweight bout: Jess Liaudin vs. David Bielkheden

    * Lightweight bout: Samy Schiavo vs. Per Eklund

    * Lightweight bout: Sam Stout vs. Terry Etim

    * Lightweight bout: David Baron vs. Jim Miller

although the Jardine and Sokoudjou fights I'm pretty much undecided

  5. can't wait till sat it will be class

I'm mixed about the card, in terms of fights you can't beat it for the excitement factor

but when a UFC gets announced you hope you will see big names, whilst we have got some, we haven't got any really main event material

which what made the Machida Thiago cancellation doubly disappointing

I'm seriously considering going over to Dublin for 93, that looks like it will be a very good card

I'm looking forward to seeing if Gono has one of his wacky entrances

although I doubt the UFC will allow anything like this :crylaugh:

  6. General,

Just a minor suggestion, I mentioned this last year, why don't we have our squad photo after the transfer window?

I usually have it as my desktop, but it doesn't look all that good when the squads threadbare, with 4 or 5 face shots at the bottom due to the players joining after the photos were taken,

as i say, only a small suggestion, just thought i'd mention it :)

Edit: another thing, how come Taylor didn't model the keeper kit? it's abit harsh on him really if he wasn't asked?

  7. Just got my tickets - went for ones that were £75 (plus they charge a 10% fee on top!!!) If anyone wants to get theirs today you can buy tickets using the password 'count'

yeh i got mine this morning

    block 10 upper

    where are you?

  8. The UFC will return to England for an Oct. 18 show in Birmingham, England.

UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner confirmed the recently rumored event while appearing on Setanta News Ultimate Talk Show, a weekly UFC news show that airs on the U.K.'s Setanta Television.

The event will be first-ever UFC show ever held in the English city.

No fighters have been confirmed for the event, but British fighter and recent UFC signee Dan Hardy is expected to make his promotional debut. "The Ultimate Fighter 3" winner and Manchester resident Michael Bisping could also be on the card.

UFC 89 will likely take place at the National Exhibition Centre's sporting and concert venue, NEC Arena. The arena can accommodate approximately 12,500 spectators.

Birmingham, which is home to nearly one million residents, is part of West Midlands, the second-largest urban area in England. The city is located in central England and is home to Birmingham International Airport, the sixth largest airport in the country, and is easily accessible from throughout Europe via rail.

UFC 89 will be the sixth UFC event in England and the seventh in the United Kingdom. The UFC opened a U.K. office and launched a U.K. division in 2007.

also Bisping said he was hoping to fight on this card as it was rumoured to be in Brum.

hopefully he'll fight Chris Leben this time

i was anticipating a Silva vs Okami and Henderson vs Franklin co main event

but Silvas gone up to LHW now

  9. General

With Barry on the way out of the door, the squad which was one of, if not the tiniest in the premiership is now 6 men down

So we need 6 players to just be on level terms with our tiny squad, which we were lucky to not suffer an injruy crisis, or our progress would have been signinifcantly halted.

We will potentially be playing around 10 - 15 more games next season, therefore needing an even bigger squad, what is your personal opinion on how many players you'd like to see us sign this summer?
