OPS! Now I start talking about Beckham again...I can see him pulling on a Villa shirt until the summer...when he will go to LA Galaxy. Manager of Real Madrid will not play Beckham at all after it came clear that Beckham has agreed the deal with LA Galaxy.

It makes it all open for MON to bring in a player that can have instant success at VP! He might not be the same as his best days at Man U or Real...but he will most certainly be good enough for Villa!

Cant beleive im responding to this suggestion but another factor would be that he wouldnt have to face ManU again which i believe was a reason why he would have been reluctant to return to a premiership side. We would also only have to pay him 100k a week so thats a bargain!

I heard ages ago - that Bellamy was MON'S number choice striker. He fits more in the O Neil , big man mould. We don't don't have big guy at all - where as for the smaller striker, we have Angel, Baros, Moore, who could perform this role - on a short term basis. I think a big man is a more pressing requirement - The Link I heard to Bellamy, was the strongest I heard - would also expain our non move for bent - would also fit in with this morning bent to pool rumour.

If we are signing a centre forward (for a reasonable fee)- my bet is one of Bellamy, Beattie, Nugent

With Spurs and Villa asking after him I'd be a little surprised if he didn't ask - knowing what's likely in store for Watford in May.

Its the next step for him, he is and England U21 international and has played well in his first season in the premiership, he needs to remain in the league at a bigger club going in the right direction where he will play regularily. This will allow him to try and break into the England set up as he gets older, i think Villa can provide all these things for him.
