in tribute to the new alien vs. predator film (which will be ace) i thought i would run this. Alein for me, no competition if arnie can beat the predator then im sure the mighty aliens wont have much trouble. Think the film is out on august 10th and is set in antartica under the ice. Basically aliens and predators are fighting it out with a bunch of humans caught in the middle. nice.

From what im reading now (ive just logged on) its very much a case of him gettin some experience then going back to chelsea cause we arent good enough. I say wishfull thinkin because i would like to think that we're not this small time. Admittedly he's not starting and is just a back up for the season but still. This lad is gonna have to prove himself after some of the stuff ive read.

Also i will be expecting us to actually spend some money, more than a bloody million anyway!!! :evil:

Yeah he was a little bit unlucky last season, missing a lot of opportunities, but he makes it up with his uncredible pace. I'd reckon he will score a lot of goals this season, and I'm looking forward to it!

He is such a fast guy, probably the speediest in the PL.

do you actually watch any villa games. I think i was happy with his performance may be once last season at home. He isnt good enough to start for england and he rarely actually uses his pace cause his work rate is appalling. Im not moaning at him for missed chances, im moaning at him for really poor games. Where i sit in the holte, when he comes off people cheer because he's getting subbed not because he's played well. It really anoys me when he's just standing around or ambling around the pitch refusing to get stuck in and looking uniterested while Juan Pablo is all over the place chasing everything and working his ass off.

Still not convinced with barry, he seemed to dift into the centre a bit much for my liking when he was playing on the left wing, this is anoying when Jloyd's gone down the left and cant get a cross in and barry is off in the centre so doesnt give him the support. Just one complaint but we will see.

"Solano made a huge impact" - did he really ?, how many of his games did you watch ?. i was at the games and i think you may be wrong squire. he did ok, nothing more nothing less. had a few really good games and a few really average games, and then missed a lot of games. hardly what anyone would call a 'huge' impact

Yeah id have to agree with this. Im sure his injury didnt help but im sure that aslong as he gets/ has got a good pre season in then we will see the best of him. His crossing was a bit disapointing at times as well which is suprizing for solano.

get vassell out now, dont need him in the side. Dont want to wind anyone up but i really dont like vassell in the team, lazy and overated. Id have him with angel than allback and moore and moore but thats not saying much. Now as a super sub, thats a different matter!!

i was actually very pleased with our fine 2-1 AWAY win. It was all a bit dodgy for long periods as we got all excited on the counter and just hoofed it anywhere but when postiga decided he could actually score, did we showed that we could just go down the other end and score another. Big Sol with a commanding headder to win us the game. So you cant complain at anyone really as we won the game, sign of a good team when they can play poorly and still win.

As there is nothing wrong with our winnning goal and clearly the ref was shit all night to the point that he should have been arrested for crimes against football after the game, i take it as a 2-1 win. Just gets darius home early so he wont be AS knackered for next season.

once again a foriegn ref had an appaling game. All the way thro the game he was utter shite and the dissallowed goal was just one of many truely awful decisions. Can england ever win with a foreign ref if its not colina? I think not.

Its an interesting question really cause football has changed a hell of a lot since the olden days. A lot lighter footballs, better pitches, footballers are athletes these days and so on. It would be interesting to see how some of the good olden boys like eseubio (sorry about the spelling) would get on in the modern game. Personally i think pele is the greatest but there are so many ace's to choose from.
