  1. Cueller, Warnock, Downing and Heskey have been poor today. Warnock will probably be OK after half time - we know he can do it. As for the others, Cueller needs to come off for one of the 2 perfectly capable replacements. Downing may aswell stay on although if he continues being this poor Albrighton deserves a run. Heskey can have 10 minutes to prove he's adding soemthing or he'll be off. That's my thoughts anyway.

  2. anyone got a clip of carrick diving, not winning a freekick, moaning like **** and then getting a free kick?

    summed him up

I remember the one your on about, it was like Gerrard at VP a few seasons ago, they ask for the free kick and get it.

What time in the game was it?

  3. Take Rooney, Drogba, Torres, out of their respective teams and the squad you're left with isn't significantly better than ours. After that it comes down to experience. The majority of players in the 'top 4' have bags of experience at the top level. I don't think many are technically or physically better than our lads, but they handle pressure better. We will get there in time but a couple of players bought in with that experience will give us a massive boost both on the pitch and in the dressing rooms.

  4. Interesting too that the Chelsea lose Beletti to suspension for the same offence, yet probably far less clear-cut, yet United keep the services of Vidic.

This is a good point. The situations are near identical. Perhaps the FA should explain to us fans why there is so much inconsistancy?

In fact, what is worse for us is that Man City are one of the likely teams to beat us to 4th spot in the league. That game was at 1-2 at that point in the game so could have ended differently had the Dowd been the ref there!

So, if the inconsistancy favoured us we could have been better placed in the league and, perhaps, won the cup.

  5. The real issue here is the way managers like Fergie and Wenger manipulate and pile pressure on referees through the media. Spineless people like Dowd will keep making terrible decisions because they fear the media assault should they upset the wrong person. Had the events of yesterdays game affected them instead of us there would have been a far bigger uproar from the media. Dowd simply made the decision that he believed was least likely to cause him any grief and that will always favour Man Utd.
