See how bringing on a young and lively player, like Hines, can make a difference in a game? Perhaps MON needs to note this down.
As for the rest of it; tired looking players. We showed polar opposites in our performance. Great at times, woeful others.
Oh, and the ref was hopeless. Both sets of fans would agree.
-
This is stupidly one sided. Surely MON can see this too? It's been the same for 25 minutes now.
-
Come on MON, everyone else has noticed that a change is needed! We've gone stale and Spam are taking advantage.
-
The ref keeps giving fouls when he shouldn't and then seemingly trying to make up for it 2 minutes later by not giving the clear cut ones. He's making a fool of himself.
-
3 players booked too, all basically over the same incident.

We humans have always believed that we have a good understanding of time, space and technology. We consider ourselves to be an "intelligent life". Perhaps we are, however, it is just as possible that from the perspective of the rest of the Universe we are a very primitive life, just as we see ants, for example. So, is time travel possible? I don't know. I would certainly say that based on our current understanding I would say no. On the other hand; it may be very easy!

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.44
Hmm...

To MON: 4-5-1 plz. kthxbai.
The penalty was there. If you've got your hands up in the air in the box and the ball strikes them, you can't really complain. A game we should have been able to put away a lot earlier.
You can complain when the attacking players foot is that close to your face! Should not have been a penalty.
This doesn't absolve MON of part-blame though.

Reo was knackered and wanted a sub?
Only logical reason that I can think of.
Otherwise, no f`ing idea.

Gabby looks stronger, holding the ball up nicely and making some decent runs in the limited space available.
I agree. He looks like he's spent some time in the gym over summer to bulk up a bit.
-
Delph on for Sidwell?
Carew for Sidwell and go 4-4-2 or just a straight swap with Gabby to keep the formation as is?
Or keep it as it is and rely on a counter if and when Fulham push for an equaliser.

Heskey may aswell not be on the pitch. I could do the job he is doing! I'm serious! He should at least appear to make more effort!

MON has picked a team which he believes should be able to beat Rapid Vienna. Yes, he could pick the winning team from the other night, but; it doesn't matter how well we win, just as long as we do actually win. This lot should be able to do that!!
I believe it does matter how well we win at present. A bad result tonight and Liverpool will be quickly forgotten about. It's all about confidence and belief, and winning well would maintain the momentum picked up at Anfield ready for the Fulham game.
True. However, we also must consider the benefits of squad rotation when we may have a packed schedule ahead. When a rotation really has a benefit is later in the season, but by that stage if the players have not already played together they would be less effective.

For the lads to play that well was fantastic to behold. We needed it so badly due to there being too much negativity of late. Lets hope we continue in the same manner!

Theres something about Gabby up front in a 4-5-1. No idea what, why or how but it works so I don't care.
-
MON should sign Bolt! He's quicker than Gabby.
-
Does Heskey have any control of his feet? Seems not.

Come on Ash...

I voted Nicholas Padfield QC (AV06). First post. Am I allowed another?

It's a good time to play them. A win is realistic but I'd take a point and be happy.
