owing players doesnt come into it. look at collins, he was great for a time, yet everyone here seems to want him gone. why? because he's been consistently shit for 2 years

collins is a decent defender but the reason i want him gone his hes been involved in 2 drink related incidents in the last 2 seasons.

as for gabby are you forgetting he was our best player for the first half of last season playing out of position until he had to pull out england squad in november (ironically when he last scored) with a back problem i think and and played the rest of the season with it because remember mcleish saying he delayed a op or something.

Gabby is explosive when he wants to be.. But thats the problem right there. Maybe Lambert can give him the confidence.. because he was clearly lacking it under he who shall not be named.

I dislike Mcleish as much as every other Villa fan, but if the authority figure tells you to do something, you do it. Just like the man in the office or the factory has to. Sometimes in life you cant always do what you feel like.

As for the captaincy i thought he would be alright as captain but i was wrong. You can't name a captain based on him been here the longest. He doesn't have the leadership quality's to be a captain i'm afraid.
