Until the next time he doesn't score for a few games after being starved of any sort of service or sniff.
FEED him and he will score!

Keep him out wide

Had a look at his Leverkusen stats last night, players coming from the bundesliga seem to struggle at times to adjust to the league. Bailey a good example, sancho as well who signed around the same time. And they weren’t being asked to play a different position than they had been previously. I think Diaby looked better at the start of the season when we were creating better chances and he actually had space to run into. He’s not a hold up player, and he’s definitely not someone you’re going to play long balls too, especially not against premier league centre backs. I’d still like to see him get a run of games out wide

We are 4/5th and people are crying like its the relegation season. I don't know where this entitlement comes from but its quite tough to be around.
Not discounting that the game was rather disappointing but zoom out people.
There’s always going to bet overreactions but it’s fair to call out something when we’ve been having the same issues for weeks and not seeing any change.

Been so disappointing. I was so excited when we signed him but he seem to get worse by the week after a promising start.
I don't think the tactics get the best out of him, but either way he needs to have a long, hard look in the mirror. Bailey showed him up today and must have been wondering why he's been benched given Diaby is anonymous pretty much every time he plays.
Bailey came on last night and was stuck to the side line out wide, you’d be better comparing Diaby to Zaniolo who came into his position, and look how he did. This is the same position people are saying Ollie needs to do more in. The cut back rather than shooting was completely on him, but it was one decent chance. There was only one other decent chance before bailey came on when Tielemans passed it through to Ollie, and even that wasn’t great. I can’t think of another. Diaby is definitely struggling and has been for ages. I’d like to see him play where bailey did last night for a few games before writing him off, can’t see it happening but.

I don’t blame Unai for that. The players were just woeful. They looked really scared and didn’t look up for it. They need to take responsibility and fight back. They seem to have lost their mojo.
I’ll give it 10% mojo and 90% our tactics being nullified and not evolving

Came to post the same thing. When Bailey plays he plays really wide. Think this is a role that Diaby is used to playing too.
The transition to becoming a second striker isn't really working for him atm.
Everyone’s either forgetting or ignoring this

Feel a bit for him, would like to see him moved out to the wing, did Bailey the world of good. Both of them struggle in that forward role
Ehat makes it more annoying is that I thought Tielemans looked great in that forward role, but is struggling at left mid
This is where I’m at too, people comparing bailey when he came on there and he’s playing in a completely different position

You win some. Hard lessons. Learn and go on. No reason to melt down. We're going to lose sometimes. That's life. UTV.

Crazy how things change when we stop trying to play it through the middle into centre backs and a packed midfield. Back to the same set up expecting a different result next game though no doubt.

Cash's delivery is terrible. We really need to upgrade on him
Terrible delivery, plays it backwards at every opportunity too

Why on earth did Bailey not start?
Thought he was a cert to start after Diabys 90 at Chelsea

Diaby, talk about stealing a living. As of now, Balaban level signing? Considering the fee of course
I don’t think the role suits him at all

At what stage do we stop lumping it to Dan burn

Really wasn't a poor pass. It takes the CB out if Ollie reads it.
Clutching. Suppose he should score for Diaby there too

He's not involved anywhere near enough and he has one chance to get us back in it and he fails to read the pass/doesn't even go for it aggressively.
We’re watching a different game then, any time he drops deep he’s got a centre back stuck to him and has done since Everton at least. Teams know how we play. We don’t create chances from out wide. Our midfield is blocked off by every team we play. That was a poor pass from tielemans left foot which Ollie could do very little about
-
The worrying thing is we just had a long break to try and freshen things up and by the looks of things we did nothing

Watkins is a big hindrance to us right now.
How are you watching this and criticising Watkins. Lewandowski struggles in this side

No attacking width kills us at times, asking a lot of Moreno to create chances out of nothing down the left

Bailey has to come on
Found it a bit bizarre he didn’t start

If teams don’t let us walk it into the 6 yard box we don’t know how to score

What the f is going on. Looks like we've just forgot how to play football, month off has effing killed us not helped us
The way we played up until December stopped working, I thought things might have been different after the break but it’s still hopeless in the final third

Zaniolo & Bailey for Kamara & Diaby at half-time. Go direct and less tippy tappy.
Taking kamara out of that midfield would be suicide

If he could hit pens he’d have 3/4 more goals too
